Futaba hi band/low band receiver.
Have a 9CHP on channel 57(72.930mhz). Can I use a low band R149DP receiver by changing the crystal to ch57?
The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

Should be able too, I don't see why not. As long as your talking about just changing the rx crystal to match the tx. And Not Changing the TX crystal. Unless it has a modual.

Yeah RCHSF,
According to Futaba's manual and website, you should only change crystals within the correct half of the two bands, low being channels 11-35 and high being 36-60. Receivers being changed from high to low or vice versa require proper tuning by Futaba Service.

The 149 came first with a "low only", "High only" and then a "Lo Hi" Band versions. If you have just the Low, you shouldn't go up. You can do what you want if you have the Lo Hi version and should have a red label on side that says Lo Hi. I use 149s on my helos
