EPIC Helis, Something New! 2 Helis, 1 Box!
Hi everyone!

I'd like to take a minute and introduce you to EPIC Helis! EPIC Helis is a new company based in Orlando, FL and was established in 2012 by several folks in the industry who have for a long time felt a need for for a new model, a new and fresh approach to the business that we all love so very much.

Out of passion, determination and drive EPIC was born.

1: ep·ic adjective \ˈe-pik\

a : extending beyond the usual or ordinary especially in size or scope <his flight was epic>

We want users to have an EPIC experience starting with the purchase, then with the build, flights and follow up customer service.

The newly released EPIC MD7/8 have combined years of experience and the very best ideas from various designs over the years and by literally reading your feedback on the forums as to how you WISHED your helicopter had... xyz.

Well, we've combined your xy and Z and given you E P I C!

This isn't a helicopter that you will worry about spending your hard earned money on, it's exactly the helicopter you want to spend hard earned money on because it's built to last, it's built strong and it's built to friggen fly!

2 for 1, yes you get both 700 and 800 parts IN THE KIT! Both booms, torque tubes, boom supports are included in the kit so you can pick the size you want!

Mod 1.2 herringbone main gear and 1.2 spiral crown gear. Both are driven and driving enormous totally UN-strippable steel gears! This is the toughest drive train on the market, bar none.

Now, how do you think herringbone and spiral bevel gears sound? QUIET, and we mean stealthy quiet!

Whether you don't like noise or love to hear thunderous blade slaps, this is what you want in your next helicopter!

On to the EFC head, yes EPIC Flight Control! No, it doesn't wobble at low head speed better yet, it doesn't boom strike either!

Want to run 2400rpm swinging 710mm blades...well with a 15mm Main Shaft and 10mm spindle we assure you that the EPIC will handle everything you throw at it!

We have thought of all the little things, this way you don't have to and can worry about getting your super low parts count EPIC MD built and ready to fly in about 4 hours!

We've also been testing blades and yes, they too are indeed EPIC! 690mm blades will be released very soon! There's something really cool about these blades but...more on that later!

Well, enough about us!

If you have questions or want to see pics, let us know and we or some of our reps placed strategically around the world will be very sure to help you out here on line or at your local field or next fun fly!

For now, have fun, enjoy our great hobby and Be EPIC!

Why not let the customer choose the size heli they want ( 700 or 800 ) and eliminate the extra parts from the kit, while lowering the price ?

Some of us would rather not pay for extra stuff we do not need.

...also designing a heli that suits the structural and performance requirements of both sizes implies that certain compromises have been made.

It is either under designed as an 800 or over designed ( heavy ) as a 700.

I favor purpose built designs verses so called jack of all trades type claims.

Actually, for the price of the kit we felt it would be best to include both.

Plus, if you're in a crunch and need an extra boom, boom supports and t. tube you can install the 800 size to get you in the air again.

When are you going to make a 500 and 550 size? If you are I'd like to preorder 2 500s. Looks like a well built machine
I didn't say you did it...I said I was blaming you.

I saw this heli at bham and it looks really nice. The main gear is a fricken monster! I was a little concerned about the crown gear driving the torque tube but the x7 has been using this design also and i have heard of no problems with it.

As far as it maybe being under engineered for an 800 or over engineered for a 700, I dont think so. Atleast not any more then the alees or logo 7...
