Hi guys,

Just an FYI, he started 3D with a Hirobo Shuttle 30 and wooden blades

He continues to find a way to evolve with new technology and the limits of his helis. But of course, there were some helis along the way that chose not to evolve with him and gave up, mostly mid air!

He reports all those incidents to the manufacturers regardless of his business involvement with them, so that the same will not happen to other hobbyists who purchase a particular kit. Some of you ask, "Why does he fly so many different helicopters?". Well, there you have it.

Every manufacturer can test the limits of their helis by cranking up the head speed until it explodes. But nobody can test the REAL limits of a helicopter as a whole like some of the pro pilots do. Tareq being one of many.

Although some of you may not like his style and expect him to fly technical, I would never doubt Tareq's contribution to the development of this hobby. It is the feedback of professional pilots like him that make better, safer, higher performance helicopters available to me and you.

If you like to watch smooth technical flying, type in a name other than Tareq in your YouTube search box.

Regards,
G

I don´t think that the manufacturer´s of the most famous brands will bring the quality and reliability of the kit´s to Tareqs requirements and needs, because of the cost factor. It will always be "semi standard". Some are better some are less!

There's no debating he has great skill just think it would be cool to see his mellow/technical style. His electric flights far exceed his nitro ones though that's for sure, just sayin'......Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Mellow side, yeah, that would be cool. He never did post that extreme vid though.
And yes, his flights have been getting quite short and quick. I do still prefer his Nitro demos.

bouchah said: That makes sense that a noob is awed by the flashiness of Tareq's 3D skills, and dreams of being that skilled himself. However, if you don't have deep pockets, or are willing to spend a ton of time on a sim, you will probably fall somewhere between giving up after your first major crash and mild 3D.
Who knows, you may be the next Tareq, we all learn at our own pace!
May the Force be with you!
I have absolutely no delusion of becoming the next Tareq. Right now I can't even fathom flying like that. I hope to be semi-good at big air and maybe some beginning 3D by the end of the season but mostly I want to be competent and safe.

My pockets can withstand quite a bit of punishment but I would rather they not. I have been spending a lot of time on the sim. I have been using Phoenix 4 since December 2012 and also abusing a poor Blade Nano or two in my basement and in my yard/driveway. I recently purchased Real Flight 6.5 too. I want to have as much sim experience as possible.

In the process of building my first heli which is an Outrage Fusion 50 using the 550 conversion kit.

I have spent a pretty penny building this heli and I do not want to trash it during the maiden flight, or for many flights thereafter.

The sim is a my friend. I try to get at least an hour a day in and hope that will be sufficient for when it is my turn to maiden this awesome looking heli.

Well it's a bit difficult to make a comparison to this heli as there aren't too many Nitro 550's out there. But, at a 3 min flight with a 6S 5000mah, that equates to a useage of 2hp. So yes, just approaching the ability an OS55HZ will give for a 6 min flight.Team POP Secret

6 min of Tareq's flying? No, not at all.
Watching the same 3 min one twice...OK, maybe a little.
