Hi guys

I think i need to take a drive down to Sharjah to go see Tareq again..... this heli looks like fun.

The problem with this type of flying and YouTube, is the cameraman cant follow properly and Youtube just cant keep up.... so you get a headache trying to watch a jerky video.

Whenever i go to fly with Tareq, i come back with new respect. He gets better every time. I usually hide behind my car or behind Tareq as he scares the crap into me..... the heli is flown with such high head speed and so hard, i am scared it will explode any second.

Regards
Paul

Paul, you hit the nail on the head, very hard for a camera to follow that kind of flying, he is always chasing the heli.Bald Pilots usually wear hats!

I have recently found myself more and more youtubing nice scale flights and some of the cool jet plank scale stuff out there where I can actually see what is going on and appreciate the smooth transitions. Anyone feeling the same or am I on my own island?
You are not alone!
3D IS this hobby for most!
I think you would be wrong in saying that. Of course it depends how one defines 3D. His type of 3D, is in the minority of pilots even able to compare skills to his.

I would bet "most" are sport pilots that dabble in 3D. It only seems as if everyone is 3Dr's because of forums like this.

Once again his flight was impressive, not trying to take anything away from him or his skill. Its just not my cup of tea. I dont even like tea

Does he have a Blog or web site that he reviews or gives opinions on what he thinks of all the models he trys out. To me, it seems he could make my Shuttle look like an awsome 3D flying bird. Im curious to hear what he thinks of how each one flys. It is definitely good advertising for what ever brand he has in the air. If the bird can hold up to that style of flight, it will definitely hold up to what I can do, until it hits the ground.

Very high level of skill, but not for me too.

Problem is that I think you could give a few pros, some of the worst heli's available, add a good Flybarless unit and crank the head speed through the roof - and provided the machine lasts for 3 minutes, you'd have a very impressive video.

Give the heli to a club flyer, turn the head speed down so you get say 6 minutes, and the machine would return to being one of the worst heli's available.

For me I'd prefer to see pro pilot skill demonstrations with machines setup similar to the way club pilots have them - best flight like this I ever saw, was Alan Szabo flying a Raptor 30!!

I love it!

As a n00b who has only flown on the sim and crashed a Nano into oblivion, I hope to be even half as good as this someday.

That makes sense that a noob is awed by the flashiness of Tareq's 3D skills, and dreams of being that skilled himself. However, if you don't have deep pockets, or are willing to spend a ton of time on a sim, you will probably fall somewhere between giving up after your first major crash and mild 3D.

Who knows, you may be the next Tareq, we all learn at our own pace!

Don't know how to post a You Tube video on RR, but if you go on You Tube and type in the search engine "szabo raptor 30" the first video that comes up is 4.27 minutes long, and when I was a noob it really inspired me because I started with a Raptor 30, and went wow.

Not the sort of stuff Tareq can do now, but for me more real world and relatable.

I know its not tareq a style but I'd like to see one technical slower flight from him. Like to see his grace and skill side. Pop n lock is cool but even for me it gets full after awhile. I really appreciate technical and high skill stuff.....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Jschenck, thanks that's the one.

Remember I saw this as a noob a long time ago, no fbl just normal setup including headspeed - i can hover inverted but still can't do what he did 2 minutes in.

Give Tareq a Raptor 30, and I'm sure he'd do good stuff as well.

Now that would be fun. Let's get him an old nitro Raptor 30 and see what that flight looks like. We can spot him an OS37 just to be sporting. I bet that'd still be quite a flight.
