just thought i would see if anyone has already tried the trex 250 landing skids on a 130. looks close to the right size. might be too heavy.

I was looking at the doing this same thing, but thought it would be too heavy. It looked good when I held it up though.

Let me know if you figure it out! I hate the stock gear looks.

Can you weigh the skids? i have two bats that are 450mah 40c and i think they would easily handle a little extra weight. The stock skids seem to break if you look at them wrong.Have fun, Fly safe!!

Have you tried boiling the skids to make them a little less brittle?
Apparently guys have been boiling parts for some time with good results.

Here is just one example:

I have seen a 130X with 250 landing gear, works good. Does make it a little heavier but is fine unless you are really throwing it around and want every gram off it.

There are two versions of the 250 LG. The original release was a thinner, lighter set that would break easily on the 250. this might be a good use for those if you can find them somewhere.

I am running mine with a 250 gear. Love the look!

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

I like the way that looks too!

I put the white 130 skids on both of mine and it does help to see the little critters
