Boooo....looks like it's the same weekend as the Heli Extravaganza at Triple Tree. We're planning on attending it again this year.
Year after year we try to coordinate our events not to conflict with each other expecially if we are in neigboring states or within close travel distances.

Our Fun Fly in on the same weekend is been the last 3-4 years, and right after the LMAC Lexington Fun FLy.

I know Dayton are "nobodies" compare with the Triple Tree Aerodrome, they are big enough they won't care to ask anyone about conflict. They are in SC, far enough to hopefully not affect the locals.

It just sucks as some folks that would normally come visit us like James Haley, Nick Maxwell, and other outstanding folk may be obligated to be in another massive event.

They will be missed...

Oh believe me, Chago...you all are not "nobodies." :-) it's just becoming harder and harder to go to all of these great events because of conflicts and so many more fun flys being added to the calendar each year. We're having to make some tough decisions this year about which ones to go to, as I'm sure some of the sponsored and pro pilots are finding out, too. We're kind of obligated to go to Triple Tree since we're close to those directly involved with it and we promised we would be back this year; if it had not been for that, Greg and I would most definitely be in Dayton.

I know you'll still have a great event and many people attending! I dare you to take as many photos as I would if I were there!

Chago,

From the moment we leave, we want to come back. Your event is easily the most friendly, laid back, fun-fly event of the year. From the first year we attended, we've always felt welcome and appreciated. So, even though your event is not local for us, it's always the first event we look for each year. Literally, it is the best event of the year in my eyes. Oh yeah, and the food: WOW!!! You still haven't sent me your recipe for your rub! LOL!

Folks, if you miss this one, you literally miss something special. Chago's event is what the hobby is all about -- people having fun!

Scott

PS is it okay to park a Class A motor home there?

Scott,
Always thank you for all the kind words.

Jenni,
Inside Im mad that you and Greg won't be with us; you are wonderful people and is no coinsidence we share many of the same close friends. When I posted the line "they will be missed" was tongue and cheek sarcasm, but when it comes to you and Greg it will really hurt not having you here. But dont worry, we'll have plenty of chances to party.

Funny how the hobby changes perpesctive and priorities from fun, business, and at the end, frienship. Eventually we become one big family which cant wait to be together. Nick's FF was a perfect example.

I'm still gearing to add a pig roast or some kind of BBQ to Saturday afternoon.

Look forward to see you all.

Chago

We will definitely be there. Can't wait!!!
Awesome people, and awesome food!! Very laid back, and it's easy to get a lot of flying in.

Chago, if you need any help setting up let me know, and I will work on getting that Friday off, so I can.

Don't miss this FF if you can help it.

Good news
All

I called the club to motion a change in dates for the funfly.

It took shifting one of the club private picnics but they graciously acepted the change.

Thanks WingMasters.

Now I have to get my helpers and the logistics of the pig roast for the 28th.
More work but this is better than cancelling the event.

I hope this makes it easy for most folks to attend.
