No clue. All I know is when I had my Honda and was researching problem I was having there were user reviews for Honda and it was rated 2 1/2 stars. Now they have no user reviews at all when all other brands do. How do you take that? They just took them down for no reason at all?

As for other site like wisesales when you do a review it has to get approved before you see it on site. I did positive review on Yamaha I got from them and it said submitted for review and then 2 days later it went up on site. Makes me wonder if they filter results for all reviews not just Honda or whichever. For example Acedude found that complaint about a Yamaha, would that make it to the site or does it get pushed to the side. If Honda had a failure of some kind would they post review stating that? Your guess is as good as mine.

If Amazon tampers with the Honda reviews then perhaps the "only positive" reviews for Yamaha are also tampered with.

Figures don't lie, but liars do figures.

If that is the case, then pointing to online reviews to justify the quality and satisfaction of all generators is moot.
Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

Could well be. But if that was the case wouldn't they just pull bad reviews to up stars on both? I am just showing what's on their site because I find it strange that they suddenly have no reviews. That's not strange to anyone else?

I read that with the Honda, you can turn off the cap vent with it running and eventually drain the carb for storage (similar to a fuel shut-off valve). But I tried it, and it didn't work.

Any comments?

The complete absence of Honda reviews does indicate that Amazon is being less than ethical in providing their customers with a transparent, unbiased, shopping experience.

They have demonstrated substantial bias by removing the Honda reviews.

Justin- It should eventually shut the engine down. Where the fuel is left in the system I am not sure. The fuel valve mod was suppose to isolate the carb only. I believe that guy wanted the pump left "wet" because of premature failure from being dry. - Kris

First thing I can say is the box is smaller than I thought it would be and it was very easy/light to pick off the shelf and carry to the car.

I have to do some family stuff this afternoon so it'll stay in the box plus we have some wet weather coming to us over the next few days. May be a number of days before I pull it from the cardboard, unless these storms do some damage.

It takes a while to drain out. Just idling in Eco mode we are talking about 15-20 minutes, but it will die eventually.

Actually think Honda sales are lagging and they are trying to keep Honda happy with the sales numbers.
Went to the Houston Open last week and there must have been 40 or 50 of the things (camo color) in use all over the golf course. Everywhere I saw one, there were two or 3 of them. I didn't stop to see if they were connected together, or if they were just backups, but every station I passed had at least one of the things running.

Just like I see out at the field, some ran better than others.

Ive had my honda 1000 for about two years and all I do is change oil . It sits for up to a month and I choke, two pulls and it starts and runs fine . I do keep gas around and run gen empty then top off instead of keep topping every use .I think storage is key ,keep in cool place so gas and rubber parts dont swell .I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)
