Trying to finalize the electronics in my 600EFL Pro. I think I've decided on using a CC BEC PRO and a rx lipo. For those running a combo like this, what size battery are you using and where are you placing it?

Thanks!
Pete

I ran 3000-3300 40-45c, needed for power, flight time, and longevity.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen! I was contemplating running a 40C 3s2200 since I have a few of those. Posted this question on another forum and somebody replied he flies for 2-3 days on a 4s1400. I thought mah of a battery was determining factor but maybe not?!

Since this is just powering the electronics, a HIGH C rating is not needed but I suppose it's good to have a cushion...

Your thoughts?

Another question I have is it seems people are using all sorts of different lipos. Isn't CG a concern? or maybe not?!

Regards,
Pete

Why not just use a life pack. I am running a Hyperion 2s 2100mah life pack. Voltage stays around 6.6 volts and no need for any regulators or switches. Just plug it into your receiver. Makes things very easy and also cleans up your wiring and eliminates problem points.

Yes, I run a Hyperion 2100 2-cell life pack directly into the AR7200BX. There really is no need to run a BEC/regulator if you use a Life pack. It's completely unnecessary.

I will third that. I've been running a life pack as well for several years with no problems! It's cleaner, and I believe much less prone to problems.

Let me ask. Do you think pulling the pack in and out of the rx will be an issue?

It might be, but you could put in a short extension and then plug in and out of the extension. I use a switch and that has worked well for me.
