Mark Kelly, Gabby Giffords Husband and New Anti Gun Spokesman, Caught Buying AR15

March 9 2013

According to Breitbart.com, Gabby Giffords husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, bought an AR15, several standard capacity (30 round) magazines and a 1911 style pistol just days after starting a nationwide campaign to ban the same gun!

After the media got wind of the purchase, Kelly posted the following on his Facebook page:

Looks like the judiciary committee will vote on background checks next week. I just had a background check a few days ago when I went to my local gun store to buy a 45. As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too. Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. I don’t have possession yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do. Scary to think of people buying guns like these without a background check at a gun show or the Internet. We really need to close the gun show and private seller loop hole.

So, what, he just bought it so some other legal gun owner couldn’t? Right. If that’s true why did he allegedly also purchase magazines for the weapon? To get those off the street as well?

According to Breitbart.com, in February, Kelly told Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace that lawmakers need to address “assault weapons.” He said the purpose of an “assault weapon” is “to kill a lot of people very quickly,” and he lamented that such products were “too readily available.”

For the record, even though the 1911, .45acp handgun Kelly bought only holds 8-9 rounds (normally, higher capacity magazines are available), the gun can be reloaded extremely quickly and is a favorite among competition shooters for its ability to send rounds downrange quickly and accurately.

My Comments: I don't blame him for buying the guns. But, he should have kept his lefty mouth shut on gun control in ALL aspects. Now, he simply looks like a typical lefty jerk.

They take themselves seriously.

Fewer and fewer others are.

Mark Kelly can kiss my hairy red ass

I'm so sick of seeing him pushing on the 2nd ammendment with his wife as his mascott

Misguided grief promoted and exploited by the Democrat Party

You can file him under "Useful dipshi+" just like Cindy Sheehan

Look, I agree that his ideas about gun ownership in our country are BS. However, let's not forget the man has 2 degrees, is a Naval Officer and a damned astronaut. In my opinion, as dumb as his politics are, he deserves some respect.

He doesn't deserve shi+

He joined the Liberty Stealing Agenda of the Democrats.

We can get into semantics, but fuk him.

I'm tired of a-holes hiding behind circumstances to push politics and check a box by "Confiscate Guns."

Take care of your wife, but stay the hell away from my right to own a damn gun.

100% in agreement there.

But saying "F* him and he doesn't deserve Shi*" is just stupid. Like I said, the man is highly educated and has done a lot for our country. And if you dug around, I'm sure you'd find plenty of things that he did that supports your ideals. It's just this one ideal that he's wrong on, and you call him "idiot" and "F* him".

That's just stupid. You're classifying this man on 1 idea (his ignorant idea on weapons), rather than himself as a man. I could care less about Mr. Kelly, the public figure (military officer and astronaut is a different story). I think he's wrong on this issue. But, I for damn sure will not say "F- him"....

He sold out in order to be in the inner circle and dance with the devil. Plus, he's a hypocrite. I'll second the "f him" sentiment.
I'd be willing to bet the man is pro-gun at heart. He sold out his principles to rub elbows with a circus of clowns. Nothing worse than a sell-out and a hypocrite.

Look it, if my kid was gunned down by a wacko, the last thing I would do with my grief is march around telling people how bad guns are and why rights should be infringed upon.

Accountability lies with the people that pull the damn trigger. Blaming evil on an insrument is irrational, irresponsible, and not worthy of respect or reverance.

I stand behind my sentiment....screw him. Sad hand dealt, but the cards aren't the problem.

He DID deserve respect and he got it.

Right up until he blew it by going for the gun control crapola in a public forum, then getting caught purchasing an AR15. Then making up phony excuses like he purchased it just to turn it in.

In mean, come on. Give me a break.

A smart man does not do that.

A smart man apologizes and moves on.

A stupid man makes excuses and lies.
