I pretty much have everything gathered.
New to gassers so you guys tell me if my gear looks right.
Finishing up 2 30cc gas planks then on to this build.

Motor: Modified HWC w/ Torpedo can
Big bore carb w/ aluminum carb block
Gyro: Mini-G (though I also have a Quark available)
Servos: Savox 1290mg HS - tail
Savox 1252mg Hi-Speed digi - low profile - cyclic and throttle
Head - Century Metal Head
Tail - full carbon/metal tail w/ Align slider and grips/hub
Blades - Mains - Edge 623
Tails - CYE 95 mm
FB Paddles - CYE Stubz
Canomod canopy

Now a question: Stator Gator w/ a GV-1 - good idea or not???

Looks like its going to be a well equip Heli...
I would go with the S.G. and GV-1 for a steady HS..
I tried a CSM w/ S.G. at first, then switch over to the gv-1 and it was the best decision I have made besides getting into Gassers...hehe

Raja has a nice write up on the settings of the gv-1 and it has helped me tune in my Gassers.
Plus, it did helped that Raja is in Town and looked over my setup...hehe

Sorry on the link to Raja's gv-1 setup, I'm via my cheapo cell...LOL

YES... YoU puLL stART ! ~~~~ NO... it's NoT a FREAKN' Nitro !

Went with a fairly subdued, more classical Canomod lid. Finally got here.
Oh yeah, and my Stator Gator got here today too. I think I have it all here now (oops, forgot the LiFe packs ).

I see you got the zues. I ordered the shrek for mine. Zues was my next option. Watch your stator gator. If you got the kit with the hwc ignition the stator gator stopped my cdi from firing the plug even though it saw the signal. I am trying to dial in my sk540 gov for the gasser. Seems to work good but then I changed something and now it pulsates or just don't work. Trying to track down what I changed.

28 flights on my G20 cf kit so far. 8 with fbl head and tt tail. The tail is nice though I did have issues with missing parts. I also put the all metal swash on at the same time as the fbl head and had the inner ball pop loose yesterday (luckily I saved the heli).

FBL and TT I no longer have the nasty vibes the belted tail caused though it did cost 165 bucks for the tt conversion kit. Be sure to pin your tail if you are sticking with the belt to stop the boom from sliding in and backing off the belt tension.

Watch the stock poly carb iso block as mine was warped out of the package and I ended up ordering a metal one from bh hanson with the teflon gaskets. No more air leaks on that one one now.

The Radikal does fly beautiful I will give it that.

Enjoy

James

I bought some handmade stuff here to stop the boom sliding. It's pretty slick and real cool looking. All metal tail with a bunch of Align tail stuff. I'm hoping to build this thing starting this weekend.
Yes, I do have the HWC Expert motor, Stator Gator and a GV-1. I'm a newb to gas, but have tons of nitro experience...thankfully my dad knows gassers really well, so hopefully my learning curve won't be sooo steep.
Can't wait to get it running. I'll be breaking in a new 35cc gasser plank at the same time, so it will be fun.
