I think I have a similar problem, on RR I can't open a topic from the new subscription box. We use AOL mail, I know, anyway I can not open any mail. I can switch from new mail to old mail with out issue but neither will open.

I also use Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled, does the same thing.

What annoying pop-up window? If it's happening on RunRyder, you have other problems, as RR doesn't use pop-ups.

Virus maybe?

Firefox has worked great here.

It's possible that your Chrome installation also messed up some of your registry entries.

The new IE10 is quite good. Been using IE10 on Windows 7 for several months, and this is after using FF for the last 8 years. The new IE10 outperforms Firefox, and is outdone by only Chrome 23.

I used to hate Internet Explorer as much as the next guy. Microsoft has really turned things around. It's time to put away your grudges you have with IE and finally give IE10 a try. It's the best browser I've ever used. Try it now, thank me later.

IE still sucks for standards compliance .. but 10 is definitely the best version yet ..

I agree with dkshema, sounds like some malware of sorts ..

Well it has happened again. This is what is happening with Firefox 19.0.2 update.Firefox will not let me open any galleries on RR or pictures from thumbnails on RR only. All of my forums work fine. What am I missing? Another thing that is going on with firefox is once opened it looks to be closed when you close it but it does not close.I have to stop the application in order to get a new browsing window up.I have as of a few minutes ago disabled the firefox automatic updates. My antivirus is up to date and seems to be working fine.

Thanks Oracus I am getting somewhere now. Now I have to figure out who in the family uses the disabled addons and why and figure out the permanent solution.
