i guess there are acouple different setups. one with the brushless motor mounted in place of the brushed motor and the one i am asking about wich has the brushless motor hanging below and to the side. seems like it would be unbalanced.

Are you referring to this setup?

Seems to me a centered motor would be a better option, and only may need servo spacers. I've been considering a brushless setup but can't get pass the "micro" soldering.

yes jason. thats it. i love my nano and its greatly improved my skill level. i dont have a sim and had never hovered upside down without destroying my heli. you can shut the nano down at 50 feet over grass and its fine. but now i am getting better and think i need more power. same here about the soldering or i would probly already have it brushless.

I suspect that the cg won't matter much because the nano flies all crooked already because it's so small and light that the tail pushes it to the left quite a bit. It also looks like the motor is on the right which I would guess would push the Nano to the right some. Maybe too much, or not enough to counteract the tail. I do like that it says, "No need for frame modification with this unique side mounting system." Maybe instead of soldering to the main board, the esc could be connected to the original motor connector and to a connector for the battery.

What confuses me is, what does the kit include? It costs $34, which is too much for just a mount, but seems too cheap for an esc and motor. I don't see a list of what the kit includes, or what more you need to complete the conversion.

In the link that jason46 sent it says the motor, motor mount and the third bearing but no esc. it shows two diff esc options. looks like one is less soldering.

I just bought one from WOW. Went to put it in last week and I can't see how it will fit. I am thinking you have to buy the carbon frame set, but I could be wrong. I know the stock motor is shot and I have one to replace it, but I figured since I have to tear that tiny thing down, I might as w well convert it. Now I'm not so sure.
It's 100% blinged out so it's too late to bail on it now....

I have seen videos where they cut little sections out where the motor is to fit the brushless in. plus the servo spacers for more room. can you post a pic of everything that comes with the kit? i am very interested as i love my nano, just needs more power.
