Has anyone used the GPS Telemetry unit (SBS-01G) with their 14SG. I'm planning on using one on my TT G4 and will mount it behind the elevator servo on the rear of the heli. My question is whether the GPS signals will be blocked or interferred with by the blades.

Many Thanks
Dave

It works GREAT!. Mounted the GPS sensor behind the gyro on the forward part of the TT G4. All signals received thru the canopy and no blade interference. Whats really nice is you can set up a "box" to fly in and get the alerts if you leave the box and when you are back in the box. GPS speed is ground speed, with some minor errors.........

The GPS sensor monitors ground speed, distance (slant or surface), and relative altitude/vario/rate of climb-descent by way of the built in pressure sensor. (it is not a GPS based altitude above the starting point (AGL), not relative to sea level)

Is this just plug and play when used on the 14SG on its own or is there some setting that has to be enabled on the tx?

Minor menu configuration in the telemetry section and assignment of the sensor ID. Easy stuff.
