Hi, I'm using a IMAX B6 DUO charger to charge 6s packs I use on 700E and 700E F3C.

I normally charge the batteries at 1C or even less and in the last months I noticed that station nr. 2 - while charging - shows balancing values of some cell not at all correspondent to reality. And ofter I get a "Cell Voltage" error and charging stops.

On stations nr. 1 this does not happen.

I've also noticed that - while charging at around 3.5A - if I touch the balancing cable (from charger to balancing PCB) the cell values shown varies quickly going down and often not coming up to normal and real value again.

It's enough a very very soft touch to make some value change or return to their correct value.

Tried to change balancing cable and PCB, but result is the same.

Also noticed that if I charge 4s or 5s or 3s (so smaller packs) the cell values problem (and correspondent charge problem stopping) seems not happening , even if charging 2 packs (one each output port)

What could it be the reason ?

Thank you very much

Dude, I have similar issues w/mine. I just got back fro flying my Align T-Rex 500ESP 3G & went to charge the battery & the charger tells me there is a 5s connected to it - even though there actually is a 6s attached to the output end.

It's weird because after a couple of flights outta the two 6s I have, I measured each individual cell reads 3.2v/cell on bothe batteries.

I actually think it has something to do with the charger itself.

After having read many negative experiences and problems (really a lot, look with google for IMAX B6 DUO PROBLEM...) and not to risk my high performance many 6s packs, I decided to simply throw the charger directly in the bin and buying a serious Hyperion 720i SUPER DUO3. That's it.

Problem solved :)
Few weeks ago I finally took the decision to throw the BC6 in the bin and invest some money in a good Hyperion 720i charger, Using it vey often...2 different worlds...no more balancing problems, much more reliable charging time and much much more...battery seem also to be little bit more efficient been charged and balanced with the Hyperion.
Problem solved
