Looking to get some ideas on a new heli trailer, likely a 6x12.

Any pics or special setups that you have would be great. I've seen some spectacular ones in the past, hope to see them here again!

Thanks!

Just bought a 6x12 myself this past weekend. So many plans for this blank slate.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

Very practical setup. What size is your trailer?

I wish I hadn't sold mine, but here are some photos. The work benches on the right were folding surfaces. Interior was all aluminum and SS. Full electrical and epoxy flooring. The V-nose pulled like a charm!

here is a picture of my 6x 12 its dual purpose, plane and helis. there is a spot for 2 large scale birds on the floor next to the larger orange plane. heli rack came from home depot. i only had 3 to fly this summer, but it could probably hold 8.

Nice! I had a 71" slick with a DLE 30, sold that and just got a 3dhs 74" edge. Going 6s on that.

Consider a single axle trailer. You don't need the weight hauling capacity and dual axles beats the crap out of your stuff with so little weight in the trailer. In Indiana I'd also be hard pressed to claim a dual axle trailer with a gross weight of 3000# which is where the excise tax/license fee cutoff is. Over 3000# is more money for the tax people. I have an extra height, 6ft X 14ft Haulmark trailer. It's as big as they made at the time single axle. I use it for giant scale and for my quads so the interior is not as nice as it used to be.

I live in a Military Town, so it was easy for me to find a couple of folding military cots. They are stored behind the toolboxes in the front of the trailer. Haven't had to use them yet.

Why would you need a bunk? Everyone knows that with all the hotties looking for guys at heli funflys' it is super easy just to pick one up and head back to her place at night...
