I have a 130x that is lacking in power and at times looses all power for a split second. The head speed doesn't sound like its there either. Im not sure if its the motor ir the board. Anyone have any ideas?? I dont wanna buy a motor and find out thats not it..

I've found when it's lacking power it's usually the resonance/tail vibrations. If it doesn't sound nice and smooth at hover then that'd be it. Those vibs kill performance on this heli.

I've been finding that if the tail boom is too far in and the drive shaft has no play front to back it'll cause this. back off the tail boon just a small fraction.

And easy fix!

Also make sure that your boom support has not slid back (or forward) causing the boom to have slight bend to it. You almost can't see the bend it's so slight.

If it ain't broke, go fly some more!

I took the tail apart and noticed there was a washer behind the gear on the tail..I took it out and there was too much slope in the tail..I tried pushing the tail in further and it wouldnt budge.I ended up grinding some of the tailboom shorter to make the gears in the tail to touch because I lost the washer. It has a microheli tail on it.It seems like I got the perfect mesh now..I going to spool it up tonight and see how its doing now..I will keep you informed..

One thing to make sure is that the Torque tube is inserted the correct way. One end has a shorter bevel and the other longer. Longer bevel goes to front, shorter to tail. The shorter bevel prevents the plastic tail gear from creeping up on the tube. Also the longer fits better into the A/B gear.

How do I know? I picked up a used unit that the previous owner had put it in wrong way - I noticed when replacing the broken tail boom (it came with). There was a lot of play in the position of the gears - A/B and especially C/D. This is with a Microheli tail.

I wish they would design a better way to tighten the tail boom! The screws to tighten my tail boom are all stripped! Not surprising as metal screws into cheap plastic is a recipe for disaster!

Try removing the tail boom completely, and while holding the heli by the skids (careful, watch your face) spool it up and see if the power problem remains.

Make sure the main gear is not pushed up too hard on the mainshaft, if its tight, it can cause meshing problems between A and B gears that robs power (it's usually more of an issue if you run a metal A gear, Lynx do some spacers to lift the meshing a little, as do Mh)..my 2c..hope you get it fixed.

Warning...This hobby is very addictive and may damage your wealth
