Yes, HobbyPartz is the exclusive retailer for GensAce.

They are extremely popular packs that sell out very often.

Check back frequently!

From what I understand, they are evaluating sales and inventory of the product line. They will be back in stock and at competitive prices.

They probably closed the factory for winter.
I do hope Gens Ace wont start slacking off anymore in the quality control department when they start shipping out.

I would not recommend any battery less than 30C for a heli.

My Gens Ace from last year were excellent, and I wanted to get more for this season. Besides from always being out of stock, the list prices appear to have gone up by 50%. The 60C 4000 are now listed at $126, I think the were less than $90 last fall. Whats up? I'm looking at alternatives now.

I would guess they get a bunch in the spring. Its a bad business plan to buy a bunch of batteries in the fall/winter and they may go dud waiting to be sold.

Sales come frequently, they cant just up the price or its back to turnigy for most of us.

I purchased 2 2200mah 3 cell gens ace batteries from hobbypartz in September 2012 and just got them about 3 weeks ago! Their website listed them as in stock. When they didn't show up after a few weeks, I called them and was told that they weren't in stock and asked me if I wanted to cancel the order. I said no just send them when they come in. They did. 5 months later!

Hobby Partz were at the WRAM show this past weekend selling all sizes of GA batteries.
I know they got a shipment in in early January as they replaced a defective 6S 5000 I had bought in October. (Which is still listed as out of stock)
Not sure why they don't update their website.

I got my first Gens Ace packs last season - a pair of 6S 5000s. So far they have held up very well and I was monitoring Hobbypartz for another opportunity to buy. Since they've been out of stock for months, I went with Revolectrix diamond packs. I made the order on a Sunday. They arrived on a Thursday from Singapore. The packs even had my name printed on them. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough in the next week or two so I can test them. I'd highly recommend them based on the shipping service I got and based on the fact they also build the FMA Powerlab chargers.

Out Of Stock...
I really like the Gen Ace batteries, but when I need batteries, I need them now... I don't like to have to wait until they restock..so that is the only reason that I went looking other places for batteries... and I found an add for a manufacture direct, with a location in the US... so I gave them a try... this began at the end of 2011.. I am using the Haiyin batteries and have had NO PROBLEMS with them at all...Even got our LHS to start carrying them... they are worth a look... the 6s 5000 30/40c run closer to the 40c side all of the time!!!! Not the cheapest, but I have also used their Scorpion Packs at 65c+ and they hang in there with batteries costing over double their price... worth taking a look.... http://www.haiyinstore.com

And Yes, I now belong to their team, but only after I tried them on my own, and ran my own tests prior to joining the team last year at IRCHA...

Good Luck, Stan

Why not, I will try a 3s and report back. I already know that I don't like turnigy because they puff too easily. that is one of the reasons why I liked the sky lipos.

If you can't find the Gens Ace batteries and you can swing the extra cost, Hyperions are about as good as lipos get. I pay around $40 for a 35C 3S 2200mAh battery and they last and last. I've been flying the same six packs hard for three years now and they're still performing awesomely and I fly a lot...several times per week. Excellent batteries and they're available all over the place.
