I'm interested in adding a small 10mW Tx and camera to an MCPx. Weight is of course a concern. I'm not sure how much power the camera and Tx use, relative to the heli's motor/servos (less of course).

Do you know how much power these Tx and cameras draw relative to the normal heli electronics? Is it very small - and thus I should just tap off of the main batter? Or do they use a considerable amount of power, and thus I should use a second small battery?

Thanks!

Watch for brownouts
From my powered sailplane FPV experience: My camera, Tx, and OSD would blank when there was a big power draw from the motor. Especially as the battery voltage dropped. Had no room for another battery so I added a step up-down regulator. Problem solved. 2nd battery would be best if you can carry the weight.
