I have the Tags 01 and just bought another one, just wondering if anyone likes them.

I definitely prefer it over other FBL units regardless of its bulk and pots adjustments. It meets my needs and is very easy to set up and TX adjustable.

I was sold on the hovering performance and tuneability from the TX, also has 2 modes - 1 for hovering and 2 for idle up. Each mode has a different feel, 1 is stability, 2 is 3d/acro cyclic responsiveness. The modes can be automatically activated from the flightmode switch.

All 3 axis can be adjusted to your liking.

Please post your thoughts.

I just returned to the hobby after a 2-year break. When I sold off all of my stuff, FBL systems were in their infancy. I was a bit overwhelmed when I started shopping. I came back and bought all new stuff, and the JR E6 550 FBL combo. I don't know what the stigma was over JR gyro systems, I had a 770 in my old T-Rex 600N, and loved the insane piro rates I was getting, with no drift like others have complained of.
I haven't had a ton of flights on my new bird yet, because I'm in Wisconsin, and am not a huge fan of the cold. So far, I'm liking it. Setup was easy, but I haven't set any of the others up, so I have nothing to compare it to.
It did have a slight drift to the front left, which turned out to be an error when I measured the linkages to the swash. Two turns out on that side, and it's rock solid. I have yet to really wring it out, though.
After my long, boring story, my opinion is, so far, so good.
You probably don't see a lot of posts about it, because like all JR stuff, you just don't have problems with it.

Aviation has a perfect record, we've never left one up there.

N11634,

your correct JR equipment are some of the best.

With the Tag 01 it was very straight forward to me how the unit works. I like the 2 modes, in doing so they basically eliminated the bad behavior FBL has at hover and makes it more stable. Unfortunately JR marketing hasn't been that great for a while now and they seem to be loosing to the competition. I hope they continue to sell on this side of the pond.
