I am running and old school futaba gv-1 and my gv1 sensor broke last year.

I noticed my new os 50 hyper has the backplate cover that looks like the one on the os55 that accepts the bps-1 sensor.

I would just like to know if it will work before I buy it.

thank's

I am using a TJ-Pro sensor on mine. Just had to modify it with a resistor and it's working perfect. They have a nice mount that mounts to almost every engine

The BPS-1 will work beautifully.

Get some Permatex Clear Silicone adhesive, and put it in

The BPS-1 is a sensor designed to plug into a small round hole cast into the backplate of the OS 55 HZ, 91 HZ, 105 HZ and apparenty the newer 50 Hyper engines. It works by directly reading the crankshaft rotation. It replaces the sensor that comes with the CGY 750, gy701/with govenor and the older GV-1 govenor, the one that mounted on the side of the engine with a metal bracket to read a magnet mounted on the fan.
