Okay, got my new charger and all seems well so far. Did some parallel charging and back down to storage charge with no issues...but I have one question... Storage charge (discharge, actually) terminated with only 1/3 of the total mAh capacity taken out and each cell was at 3.91V. Is this too high? I thought a proper storage charge level was 50% capacity and a cell voltage of around 3.8V. The 306B seems to leave the batteries at a higher-than-normal storage level. Is this okay? I didn't see anything in the manual to adjust the storage charge capacity/voltage settings in any way.

I know I can just set a discharge voltage and discharge the packs to 3.8V, 3.85V or whatever but, if that's what I have to do, why even have a storage program in the first place?

Do the cells show 3.9v at rest or while the discharge load is placed on the packs?

You can go into the settings menu and change the storage voltage of the unit, I have mine set at 3.84V

How do you do that? Can you point to it in the manual? I didn't see that setting. Only lipo terminate voltage, which is on the high side defaulting to 4.20V.

I'm looking right at page 7 in the manual, which is the entire menu flowchart. There is no storage charge cutoff type setting in any of the program settings menu. In fact, I don't see one anywhere in the entire flowchart. Yes, as I said, you can set that in discharge mode, but I want to know how to do it in storage mode (if possible) so I don't end up at 75% charge and 3.91V on my cells, either coming down from full charge or coming up from after a flight.

Go into lipo discharge and change it to whatever v you want. The cycle voltage is independent of that setting.

Please forgive me, but I'm not understanding what you're saying. If I set the voltage to, say, 3.0V in the discharge mode, then when I storage charge, it will take the cells to 3.0V? Doesn't make sense. I understand that it will take it down to the voltage set in the discharge mode, but not the storage mode. There is nothing in the manual I can find that documents what you are saying.

Yes that's exactly what I do with my 3010B and it takes it to that voltage during discharge or charge. On another note one can also set the cutoff voltage lower if you like to say 4.15 to increase lipos life.

I know that, but I'm asking about the STORAGE mode function. I'd like to lower that cutoff to 3.8V or so instead of the 3.91V default cutoff as I feel that leaves the battery in too high of a charge state for storage. Storage mode works to both charge or discharge the battery automatically depending on where the current voltage is in relation to the set storage voltage and THAT is what I want to change. The voltage cutoff in the storage mode. I already know you can do it in the discharge mode and that you can set a max cutoff, as I already posted about it. If you can't explain it any better, I guess I'll just have to call ProgressiveRC later this week.

When you do that, the storage voltage changes as well.

Actually, it looks like it might be working. I'm storage charging now down from a full charge with the discharge mode voltage set at 3.80V and I'm still discharging in storage mode and it's now below the 3.91V cutoff from before. I also lowered the discharge amps to 1.0A to see if that would help, too, and it appears it did because of less IR/voltage drop than the higher discharge rate. Looks like you were right and thanks so much!

Makes me wonder why storage mode didn't take it all the way down to 3.30V per cell since that was the factory default discharge voltage setting before I changed it.
