Looking at a 4535-550kv with a 19 tooth, but really expensive, heavy and not sure a yge160 will be enough to handle it, should I send my xera 4530-500 or my quantum 4530-500 off to be rewound for 550kv or is there some other gearing options out there to get 2500+ headspeed out of the diabolo?

sure wish I could get a xera 4530-550, that would be the boobies I think.....

will the 4535-550 scorpion fit in the diabolo?

when setup for speed, are you guys running 95mm tail blades?

super fast
Well after talking to David at xera (who said he is no longer going to be doing heli motors) I went ahead with the scorpion 4535-550.... I sure hope the yge160hv can take it..... Holy Moly fast, here we come...

EDIT: yeah the Scorpion 4535 ^^^ will work with a 19T pinion.

Should put you around 2300ish RPMs

Use a 160A or bigger ESC

BEWARE: Thrust bearings will live about a dozen runs under that much load. Buy spares, keep them lubed.

I use 95mm tails for speed runs only. 110mm for 3D flying

I only tried the 19t on the Xera (500kv), it barely works the motor with a Jive 120. The 20T will push it, enough to warrant the 160yge

The Scorpion 4535-550kv is much higher KV, I would not use the 20t with it as that would put likely put you over.

plug in the numbers to Mr Mels calculator to see the rpm it yields. It has the gearing for the Diabolo in it. (196.5)
