What do you guys think about that? Switching from the Align to the Scott Gray regulator. It would go on my Trex 600 and 700 nitros.

Looks like this is the new, updated version.

The Scott Gray Reactor X2, as seen here on my machine, is a very effecient regulator.

It allows for 6.0v, 6.8v or 8.0v for cyclic servos. It also allows 5.2v for the tail servo and Rx.

Would you replace the 2 in 1 with a Reactor? I've had the 2 in 1 for 2 years. I want to use bigger packs. The New Reactor takes 3S packs.

In my opinion, I would replace the 2-in-1 with the Reactor, yes.

I know Scott personally. He is a great guy with good products.

I would never use the Align 2 in 1 on a 700 size heli - ever. Maybe a 600, but not a 700.

I use the Scott Gray X2 in both my Raptor 90 FBL conversions. Highly recommended.

And, the new Scott Gray has 4 channels vs the older X2 with only 3.

Two words......Quality Control.

SGP Reactor is top notch, Align electronics not so much.

I have run 3 align 2-1s on different helis (one is a r90). Never had a problem with mine, I like them. I even ran one for a while with the power hungry 8717s on a 600n before switching to a 7100 and it did fine for 50+ flights before switching.

I am not saying the 2-1s are better. I just see a lot of bashing on them, yet I have had great results with mine. I am flying all e-helis right now but if I dust the nitros off and take them out, I have no fear of the 2-1s failing me.

I own both units. Both work great.

The SG Reactor has much more options.

same here

Hundreds of flights on a 2n1 on a 600N and 700N.

Turn the switch upside down so oil doesnt drip inside, and they work just fine.

My 2 in 1 has a bazillion flights on it. I modded it by soldering in two rx power leads so one can go to the fbl unit and the other can go to the rx. I also soldered in heavier gauge battery wires and soldered in a better switch. Did it need all of this? who knows, I was kinda paranoid when I went fbl. I know it works fine and I really like having the glow igniter. I have lusted over a Scott Gray unit but I just keep coming back to the whole glow igniter deal. Don't want to have to have a separate Pushglow but that Scott Gray might be worth it.
