Is there a way and if so how do you go about and do it? Condition hold? The manual is worthless for the most part

Am I reading this correctly? You have the model live and you want to go into the transmitter and start changing the pitch curves for the idleups?

You can select a pitch curve without moving any switches but I never try and do major stuff whilst the model is live. If I did I think I would be inclined to disengage the motor.

My other thought is you want to be able to kill the motor but not have to select throttle hold?

In that case you can use a throttle to throttle mix

The most common way is to disconnect 2 wires from the motor. Another way is to disconnect the speed control from your receiver, and connect a battery directly into the receiver. And yet another way is to flip the throttle hold switch. The last method isn't recommended because if you accidentally flip the switch back, you are in a world of hurts!

Live pitch adjustment 14sg
No...still trying to figure out how to do this!

I should be able to do this by putting the throttle only in some kind of a condition hold...and then switching through all the pitch curves for adjustment. My 14mz was able to do this and so does my Spektrum DX8.

Still trying to pick up everything this 14sg has to offer....only had it not for about 24 hours...

Thanks for the info.

Have you tried the thr -> thr mix?

It is selected by a switch and so is indepenant of the flight modes.

The 14SG does not have Condition Hold which would be required to do what you are trying to do. I'd suggest following the suggestions of the others and simply disconnect two of your motor wires.

No condition hold while adjusting pitch curves?
Steve,

There must be a way to go through the different pitch curves for adjustment while not engaging the throttle? Yes my 14mz did this but so does my Spektrum DX8. Either I am doing something wrong or Futaba hasn't implemented this yet

Please add it to the "must have" list

My new 14SG is a nice transmitter that can only get better with firmware updates...

Am I on your ignore list? Actually you wouldn't see this if I were. lol.

Have you tried the mix I suggested to see what happens?

I use it as my throttle hold so that I have a switch either side of the tx.

As I mentioned, the 14SG does not have condition hold. Andy mentions a possible work-around; I've not tried it but it might work fine. Pulling the motor wires is the safest. Yes, my 14MZ has Condition Hold as does the 18MZ. Your suggestion has been noted.

Throttle (Master) to Throttle (Slave) mix, adjust percentages and assigned to any switch.

Exactly but he seems to be ignoring the use of a mix.

I usually just set all my TH curves to 0 and then just adjust my pitch curves.

Andy from Sandy is correct
Andy from Sandy's suggestions are the correct ones you are looking for. I have this same mix on my JR 12X. I use it on all my electric helis. I put it on the same switch for every model. It allows total swash movement and to adjust pitch curves. But, when I adjust I do remove one of the motor wires.

I have the 12FG and it has a throttle hold feature, so I use that on the Futaba stuff.

Why use lighter fluid when gasoline works sooo much better! | http://www.newportnewsrc.org/
