Whiplash gasser with TRM VX270TT,
Needles are
L:1 1/8
H: 1 1/8
My last tank in breakin in now is finshed, 32:1 ashless

Engine starts with just one pull, the problem is the vibration, 5 of 4mm screws broke from my heli, I've changed the main blades to my old good balnced blades, but it still has vibration, I am very sure it is the flywheel or clutch, AND MR TOXIC doesn't answer me at all, I called him 15 times and he answered me 2 times, with a very bad recommendaion that doesn't help me at all, I found all needed infos in the internet actually and helped me alot.

1- How to solve this problem my self?
2- Do I really need to send it to BH hanson to make real modification and balancing for it, F... to TRM))

Thanks

Did you check the balance of the blades or did you just replace them.

I don't beleave that the clutch is balanced just bolt it on. Did you check that you mounted it correctly?

You can pull the fan and check the balance, have you done that?

I have only called Al ONCE and he answered the phone and was very helpful.

A little more information please like FBL controller, mounting, head dampners, how does it fly? Is the tail steady and holding? This will help some of us consider your problem.

Having two posts on the same topic is very confusing. One post should do it.

I suggest you close one of them

Vbar, head is perfect and tail has some small wags and drifts (specially tail on the wind), I know from my experience that it is the vibration issue because I have Vbar Data login and I don't see vibration errors, but every thing breaking of the heli such as screws.

I have added some 3m 4011 tape with no succes, I had 3 slice 2 and 1 now.

1 1/8 sounds lean to me for break in.

I finished half a gallon with my 270TT. No problems at all. It runs very smooth.

My carb 990 isn't lean, with Al recommendaion you will find filthy rich that you can damage many spark plugs like I did, I goota change a spark plug every tank.

Witt 1 1/8 for both, no more flooding, less vibration, one pull start and no more damaging the spark plugs.

Cheers mate

I want to see how the clutch blocks are mounted in the frames.

the 990 carb requires leaner settings so not concerned about that

what modifications did you make in regards to the gear mesh?

just poking around, hard to diagnose things just from text.

I know he works a regular job also, but Al has ALWAYS responded very fast to every call or email I sent him... I honestly don't beleive that he is ignoring you on purpose.

And starting two differant posts on a subject just to bash a guy isn't cool.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Wow,... breaking screws off the frame? I some how doubt that the engine itself is to blame...

if everything else is balanced, a smooth running engine installed in a heli that has misalignment in drive train will result in broken screws...

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Breaking screws
Is a high frequency vibration problem. Can very well be from an engine or some part that is running at engine speeds.

You didn't hold the ignition side of the crank when you were tightening anything up on the clutch side did you? If so? Sounds like you twisted the crank and that is where the vibrations are from.
