Just saw the vid on fiberglass boom, a definite plus. Price on crash should be a lot less.

Yeah Goblins are taking over the world!!! Seems like everyone is selling their left testicle to buy one. SAB has made a sweet looking machine, just can't justify buying one as of yet. Maybe one day

A goblin 630 tailboom is 70 bucks....blades and such for a boom strike comes to about 200 bucks...still not complaining, very nicely assembled kit, awesome design and looks and the QC on the boxed product is second to none.

I think RPM 1.5 was just trying to suggest for you to go look at the model flying for yourself in person and decide from there was all. Personally Kyle or Ray have never BS'd me so......

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Please, gentlemen no...., I am really leaning towards getting one, I usually trust my fellow RR pilots input. I just want honest answers from regular Joes who actually built and flew the heli.

I really like the new head design and the mini 700 Goblin gearbox, now I see that there is a fiberglass boom, makes it easier on my pockets when I crash it. However I don't want a lot of maintenance. I think this is the one little heli I can take with me anywhere unlike a 90 or 600 size, and it has a little more presence than a align 500.

Goblin 500 booms are 48 bucks for carbon and 33 for FG. But Goblin booms very rarely break in a crash.(everything else breaks but not the boom!)
They are designed to breakaway and the system works well.
Don't let boom prices discourage you.

Haha, in most circles I believe they call this a flip flop :-)

Just busting your chops gimble. I love my 500 and even though...
22 Mebebers of my flying club unanimously agree it is the ugliest heli. Only a Mother could could love something so confused and FuGly, oh yeah the FuGlin.Oh wate it is Italian, it can not be ugly right?
I think you would totally enjoy it ;-)

Seriously, puts a ton of fun back in the day and the size/form factor makes it ideal to pack around. I've had mine in my truck and flying at lunch every day since it arrived. I'm a tad odd they say, but I think you can count me in the "regular guy" category.

To the other poster with the comment questioning the integrity of advice coming from a pro, it's ludicrous at best, especially given the guy mentioned. You will always get straight talk from Ray, period.

Dont get it in bunch, a Lamborghini Gallardo is waaaay better looking than its older brother the Murcielago. Nicer things come in smaller packages .Its called proportioning, besides stop digging up old stuff. Please leave instigating out of this thread.
