is the scorpion product a battery with a reg in please give more info

ok just looked that part up it will supply 5v to your system if your BEC fails, So was the combination of the 8v and the 5v from the back what happened so now

test the esc and see what your getting for voltage on the bec then plug the scorpion in and test the out put and see what your getting

if your get more then the 8v out of the bec side there is your problem you had 13v in the system that will fry anything

Another beta test on the end user. You might want to shoot Castle a "Hey There" email for their market research. They need to let China know.

Probably replace the ESC, but so much for the rest of the gear

Talon 90
I'm running mine on a Gaui x5 with MKS HBL servos at 8v. No External BEC. No Problems!

I have been using the Talon on my Gaui X5 and it works flawless. No need for an external BEC in my opinion.
Just curious... why 'upgrade' the ESC on the X5 if it's going to be the same 22 volt (6S) limit?

I'm thinking about setting mine up for 12S.

Maybe it's just me, but the X5 doesn't exactly make me hold my breath. Certainly not to the extent that people like to exaggerate it's power.
I'm running a 16T and it feels rather sluggish.
