Here we have all the handrailing in place and completed, the builders left Monday, so the rest is up to me, so it will only get worked on during the weekend, unless my son can work on it,, Enjoy!! XGM/VGM

What do you mean the builders left. Is that part of the contract ... to half finish the cabin.

Hopefully you aren't paying him while he's at home and hopefully he's paying you for the work he should be contracting out?

Where I am, framers do the framing as well as windows, siding and roofing intsallations. Everything else is left up to speacialists plumbers, electricians, plasterers, etc.

Well yes they have all been paid, and Andy and Bob did what was in there contract, we have a verbal agreement with Doug, our general cont. to have the house turn key, and my son is going to help finish the house with him, but all of the sudden his wife has to have surgery, and if so, I have no problem, but I talked with my lumber yard, and they said he came by to say goodby, as he was leaving, so I'm not sure whats going on, I'll just have to wait and see if he comes back, I hope he does, as I'm not there during the week, only on the weekends, So I might have to hire someone local to help my son, I do have a plumber and heat and air guy doing there thing, and I have a custom cabinets being built for the whole house, Plumber is almost done in the house, but he still has to put in the septic system, and the heat and air is just getting started,, Time will tell... John is in Western Oklahoma, where I was born. The likely hood of him carrying a Smith & Wesson .357 Mag or Colt 1911 on his hip is pretty good. (We have open carry here in Oklahoma)

Nothing against people who live in other areas, but we tend to take verbal agreements and handshakes a little more serious than most others. Just saying

Looking grand!
What a nice home ya got there!
Say, the A Frame (Foyer?) has 6 cans
on the rafter line. The ONE on the left
side is upside down and thus NOT CENTERED
with the 3 on the OTHER SIDE! See it?
Good eye.
