I am wanting to convert my Trex 600LE to FBL. I already heve the 3GX and just need a head. Will the DFC head upgrade fit the LE head? Any suggestiong on a good head if not?

I don't think you can just use the DFC upgrade package. This upgrade package comes with new arms that fit the newer style main grips, not the old style grips like the ones on the le heads. I was able to replace my 600n head with the entire head assembly off of the new 550/600efl and the 3g mainshaft that is used for the old 3g conversions. It is basically a bit shorter mainshaft that works in the 600n.

Is that main shaft like the DFC shaft?

Would the 600EFL main shaft work with this FBL head. other words the entire EFL head with main shaft?

None of my fbl helis are DFC except a 450 so I can't say for sure, but I think it is different from the DFC shaft. The package didn't say it was a DFC shaft

The shaft next to it is the standard 600n main shaft. They both use a removable collar unlike the EFL mainshaft. I haven't tried to fit an EFL mainshaft in my 600n so I don't know if it will work or not. Ill find one of my spare EFL mainshafts and compare it to the 3g shaft I used in my 600n.

Not the best picture but this is the standard 600n mainshaft, the EFL main shaft and the 3g mainshaft I used for my fbl 600n. When holding the EFL mainshaft up next to my 600n, the bottom hole does not line up when the collar is on top of the upper bearing. It almost looks like it might fit with the collar under the upper bearing, but I would have to dissasemble the heli to see if the lower hole actually lines up properly with the main gear's mounting hole. Even if it does fit like this, it might cause other problems without using another collar above the upper bearing to keep the mainshaft from moving up and down. The upper hole where the head mounts would also be in a different location. With all of the different parts out there for the efl, 600n, dfc parts, old 3g parts, etc there is probably another combination of parts that would work but I don't want to take apart my helis to try and find it. Using the 3g mainshaft and new style EFL head was a very easy swap which is the one I would reccomend because I have done it on my own heli so I know it fits. There are many other fbl 600Ns out there so maybe someone else can chime in with their setup if it differs from mine so we would know the other options.

The simple answer is no, but..
You can convert this to a flybarless DFC.

The original DFC upgrade assumed that you had a flybarless head already set up on a 600E, not N.

Thus the kit was minus, blade grips, an easy purchase. Also the main shaft on a 600E will not work on the N. this requires you to cut 20mm of the main shaft and to drill a new hole for the Jesus bolt.

If that sounds like to much to bother with, Align is coming out with a 600N DFC combo kit.

i just recently converted mine and man it was the best thing i ever did. Align just released the 600n dfc so getting factory shafts shouldnt be a problem now as soon as they get here. Untill then heres what you need:

600 "pro grips"
600 dfc conversion
600 dfc swash (not needed but HIGHLY reccomend)
600n main shaft factory fb one

to mod the shaft cut 20mm off the top and drill a 3mm hole 10mm down from the fresh cut. And thats it go beat it up. Modding the main shaft is not as easy as i thought. cutting the easy part but drilling the hole perfectly strasight threw is where it gets hard. Anyhow the dfc is freaking awsome i LOVE the it feels now i will NEVER go back to a standard fbl head setup. have fun if you need anything else please let me know
