!!SOLVED!!

I'm putting this here because I'm not sure where to put it.
The video will show how bad tail wag can be. So I figure it is also educational and fun too watch. (Unless your me)

I have it set up as 6s. I have tried many many things swapping parts and setting. Changing settings the right way to the wrong way just trying to get it to be worse or better and nothing has worked yet.

I could go on and on. If you need more info let me know It's freezing out 10% and I was cold and mixing up my words.

The Motor was $16, It's the only 450 motor I have and have not swapped it out. but could be the Problem. It does have strong mags though and I'v thought about reraping it. I am going to be buying a SCORPION kit and wraping it my self.

Other than checking for binding, find someone that uses the Cgy750.

For mechanical, disconnect the control rod at the tail side and check to make sure that there is no binding and should be really easy to move back and forth.

Solman

I just rechecked and it is very smooth and no binding. I have went through the hole 450 4- 5 times taking things apart and making sure there is no binding or slop.

I have set up lots of helis but never an electric and never used a flbs gyro. I have spent many hours reading how to set this up and with 1.3 it should be a cake walk. I guess not.

The other 2 access are fine. With the savox tail servo I could fly it around up right as long as I was very slow on the pitch.
The smallest pitch pump would make it wag very fast.

Also i did many bench tests with the main blds off and it will not do it. I held it down by the skids and ran it and would spin it back and forth slow to fast. It still would not do it. It is amazing how much tail authority even a 450 has.

I should also say I do not think it is the 750.
To much faith in Futaba. Never had a problem that i can think of in 20 years. Been in rc all my life.

It's the motor or somthing else or me not setting up somthing right
(mechanical or settings in the 750 or esc. But Mybe it is the 750. I have no one around me that I know of that flys. I may need to by a cheap used gyro to test or send the 750 in or buy a new 750

The higher the rpm the worse it gets. I have a 12t -150t main on it right now. 2000kv
went to a 11t higher rpm wag soner and harder. Going from idup1 to idup2 2750 to 2970 I think gets wores too. As far as I know 12t should be the right one.

check for play on the pitch slider, bad bearings means loose and wobble. also the pitch slider "y" sometimes comes off the bearing part, check it's not loose. Too much gain in the gyro, less is more in many cases. No mechanical looseness in the linkage and slider, clamps, shaft. It'll bounce around seeking to center.

If there is a preset gain for different size helis check the gyro is properly set for a 450.

biggy mistakes of a used heli is lack of threadlock and worn bearings, been there done that.

IMO, the furion was not designed to run on 6s of torque, and was not designed to run a high head speed.

your probably slipping the belt, and the tail servo trys to correct this, as it corrects, the belt slips again, causing a chain reaction,

I fly my furion 450 very hard, and slip the belt every now and then, it's because my boom is not locked in place good and gets slack.
I also fly with a slower head speed, not sure where its at, maybe 2200-2400 ish.

This could be part of the problem

I just checked the belt by holding onto the tail and rotating The mains clockwize I can get the belt to skip. The belt is tight. How tight can I go. I Need to put the 11t back on and run it at say 2200??? I got the gov on a slider for now so I can adjust.

I think if I streched it bigger mains 350-360s bigger tails it would help. That would eat some of the torque.
Does any one know where to get longer booms Besides that place in china?
thank you both

Yes cc is set to external gov.

The belt cogs are all fussy. It looks like dust at a glance. It is very dry and dusty this time of year.

I have had 4 30 and 50 rappys in the past and the belt would slip on them and do this. Just not this bad.

Since it isn't designed for a 6s, a slipping belt would make sense. Can you make the belt tighter for testing purposes to see if it stops? I wouldn't want to keep it too tight, but should be fine for a quick test.

Try running a throttle curve. Unless your belt is missing 396 teeth or slipping real bad.

!!SOLVED!!

I tightend the belt up. I had my girlfriend tighten the bolts and I, using two hands pulled on it as hard as I could. It is now tight.
I moved the boom back an 1/8in.

I then lowered the Hs down to 2200 left the 12t on and tryed it and the tail was rock solid!! But 2200 is to low I think. I moved it up to 2500 and no wage.
It still seams to slugish.. Going to try 2650 in the morning.

Hay Snasty#1 Thanks I owe U 1 and every one else that helped.

I really want to stretch the baby. were O were can I buy longer tail booms for this?????

nice to see that I could help.

the furion 450 is a awesome machine,
mine is still flybar,

good luck in trying to hot rod the MA machine,
I'll keep mine stock. till it sells.

yes low head speed does lack the performance,

the belt should have some give to it. you might blow a belt flying that tight, sad to say, maybe you should consider TT tail

I prefer belt anyday, but at those head speeds. TT might be the answer.
