The Blade directions tell you to assign the GYRO to the GEAR channel but then it tells you to inhibit GYRO SENSING.

Does this makes sense? (pardon the pun) The only way to really inhibit GYRO SENSING is to leave the GEAR channel inhibited also. (I think)

What am I missing here?

I would just INHIB the gyro. You can adjust the sensing with a special routine that no one I know has ever used, so not to worry.

Will answer in detail later. OLD DX7 or the new DX7s?

The bottom line is that your TX needs to control the gyro using channel 5.

The old DX7 defaults to using channel 7 (Aux 2) to control the gyro when you choose to use the Gyro Sense menu.

The Blade 130x instructions tell you to use the Gear channel and its two endpoint settings to control the gyro, as that is a quick and dirty way to get channel 5 (the Gear channel) to run the gyro. It's quicker and easier for them just to punt than it is to teach you how to program your DX7.

With the old DX7, however, you CAN change the radio to use the GEAR channel -- channel 5 -- to control the gyro AND control it from the Gyro Sense menu. This would allow you to control the gyro gain using the flight mode switch, and to have different gains for the three flight modes.

I'll dig through some of my older posts and find the info I wrote on how to make the DX7 use channel 5 AND the Gyro Sense menu AND the Flight Mode switch to control the gyro.

You don't set the gyro gain for the 130x in the radio. You leave your endpoints at 100/100 for the gyro channel, and the gyro menu inhibited. You have to access the gyro menu in the heli's board to change it. Ill try to find the info on how to change the tail gain and post a link.

Here is a youtube video on how to adjust the ail/ele/tail gain on the 130x. I haven't had to adjust the ail or ele gain, but I did have to lower my tail gain 3 points to keep it from wagging when loaded up
