Well I finally found my indy heli apache kit. This is my first big scale and I am really exited about the build. I tend to be a perfectionist and extremely detailed. I am looking for the scale 4 bladed head and tail rotors. I am also looking for any detailed pics of an actual a series apache.
Any help would be great.

Hi John,

If you are going to utilize a 10mm shaft this can be a nice choice, looks great…
http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servle...-etc-600/Detail

Not sure how well it will perform with 800+ main blades…thought about trying it, in the end stayed with the original Indyhelis head.
What kind of mechanics you are using?

That head looks great but it may be a little small. This is at least a 700 or 800 size heli. I havent chosen mechanics yet.

10mm on 800 blades..might not be the best combination. you also have to check that the blade grips are large enough

John,

I’m well aware for the size issue, last week I’ve finished working on the weapon wings
Found out it is too wide and can’t get out of the door…

My advices for you, start thinking about mechanics before working on the fuselage.

If you need help with that I have pretty good ideas

As for 10 mm main shaft, there is no problem using them, Indyhelis did so from day one.

Yes, i would appreciate any help you can give me. What mechanics are you using. How did the heli hover and fly around and what fly bar less control are you using?

John,

As for the flybarless system, for now I'm not using any…this head was designed by Kerry with the phase compensation build to it, it fly ok with tail gyro only but flybarless system will make everything easier.
Next week a friend will be back from the US with the new NAZA-H, hope to know more by then.

My choice was the Maxi Joker2 mechanics by minicopter, it is already design for long blades and very low head speed (~ 1200 RPM is where you want to be), it also make it very easy using left or right hand rotation, most Rc heli use clockwise rotation, most real helicopter and the Apache is no different work with left hand rotation.

Sent you Pm with my phone, you are more than welcome to give me a call.

Do you have any more pics of your heli. The mechanics inside and the tail rotor. It would be a great help.

Thanks

Do you have the original Indyhelis manual?
Found the fuselage manual+ cockpit & 30M pictures file explaining how to build the tail section & the flex drive, all downloaded from the Indyhelis site while it was online.
Please send me your E mail :-P
