I am looking into getting a healthy supply of parts. I noticed there are alot of the same items but "Platinum". As the title states are these items upgrades (meaning they will improve the flight quality, life, or strength of the helo) or are they mostly Bling (I am not against bling-ing something out). I just want to know.

one example: (from amain)
TSA Model Main Shaft Bearing Block Set
[TSATPA00901]
TSA Model Platinum Main Shaft Bearing Block Set
[TSATPA00902]

Thanks for any help

Most of platinium parts are just for bling, but you're right some are useful, not mandatory but useful

As you said:
- Damper 60i red (feeling is really better) : TSATPA0141002

-Platinium elevator lever (to avoid to loose the pin from the plastic one, here it's a screw which maintain the elevator arm):
TSATPA04201

-Tail drive gear coupling, with this one you could apply lots of strength to secure the screw on main shaft. Most of the time when you screw strongly auto gear on main shaft, you spin it!! with such aluminium parts no worries at all. This is really good for easier maintenance.
TSATPA03700

- tail drive gear to use with the parts I described above:
TSATPA0048000

- Clutch bearing holder assembly, I really prefer "engine block" in aluminium rather than plastic. Nevertheless, my friend keeps the plastic one and since no worries at all. Don't wear out too fast. But for me when I think about engine block, I think about aluminium!
TSATPA00601

I you have some money left, not really usefull for nitro but so cool and secure to have it:
- Platinium tail drive gear :
TSATPA02601

and to conclude, the most important: CHANGE CLUTCH LINER, use T700 one, or Lynx T700 (according to me it's the best!). The original one wear out really fast.

All others platinium parts are really BLING BLING ^^

Other infos, if you plan to put an OS105 inside, don't forget to use the fan shroud insert even if it's YS adviced, you can use it with OS and increase cooling performances.
Same thing, with OS105, 120T main gear is mandatory to have plenty of power and torque.
Hope this help

I have all the platinum parts on my heli plus some more do duds, they definately add more weight to the heli, more rigidity, and more bling but the weight makes it more sluggish, in addition to harder on crashes. I put mine on a diet.
