Got the new one way for my 600n and the thing will not fit the new main gear. the hub is just a little larger than the gear opening for the hub. I called assurance rc and they are telling me that I have to force the hub into the main gear.I have tried to get the one way into the recess but it is not working for me. Has any one else had this problem with this set up?

Tight Fit...
It is a tight fit. Try flexing the main gear while trying to push it together. If you try and try and it still wont go, then sanding the inner rim of the main gear just a tad so it could fit will help lots.

Don't sand too much, you don't want it super loose either.

Cheers,
Raven

what is so funny about this is that the gear and one way that I have in it now was a drop in affair. I just don't understand the difference.

Gear fit.
I had the same problem you did. I think you talked to Ron as I did.
I took and put a bevel on the main gear were the hub fits then started all the screws slightly then slowly started working them down as you would a motor head in a cross pattern and it went together fine.

Rich,

Take some 250 grit sand paper and remove the sharp edge off the bore in the gear. Then press the hub in the gear. You can pull it in with the screws by tightning them evenly. After you get done playing around with that hub and find out that you still are having trouble with the one way bearing locking up. Go purchase the bearing from boca bearing for $20 bucks and your troubles will be over. Boca's one way bearing is designed just a little different and there fore works with out locking up.

John,
Will the Boca one fit into the new hub? the hub that I got has a ball bearing in the top of the hub to stabilize the one way underneath it.

Boca Bearing
Yes the boca will fit, you will have to remove the small bearing in order to press the old bearing out.
The only difference between the old hub and the new hub is the length to allow for the small radial bearing. You probably will have to use different size washer/spacers to get your in play correct on the main shaft.

This one way bearing problem on the 600N's is something that Align should have fixed and had a recall on. Because I do not know of anyone that has got the new Align stock bearing to work with out eventually locking up and most of the time after just a few flights.

I Feel your pain. I have gone through about 5 of them myself. This new one is the first one that I have had with the extra bearing.

Bearings
Even with the extra small radial bearing the clutch bearing still locks up. Everyone in our group has went to the Boca bearing and no one has problems anymore.

Warming the gear?
Would not recommend warming the gear as it might warp or melt. Use a 6" sea clamp with the correct size socket to press the bearings in and out of the hub. A small arbor press works really good also if you have one.

John,
We are not talking about pressing in a new one way , we are talking about trying to get the whole hub onto the main gear.

Hub & Gear
Thought we already solved the hub & gear issue? or did I miss something? Still would not suggest heating the gear.

Boca Bearing
Can someone please guide me to the exact bearing I need from Boca for my new 600n DFC?

I looked on their site and it was a little hard to figure out exactly the one?

Thanks
Travis

Phone number 800-332-3256 give them a call and tell them what you are looking for. Then you can give us the number of the part. I take it that you are looking for the 600 nitro?
