Does anyone see why futaba could not make a SBUS2 compatible BEC or even HV ESC. The do make make some ESC and Brushless motors. I know a BEC would be so awesome.

I thought SBUS cable are just regular heavy duty servo wires? Wouldn't the power ride on black/red pair, and white carries all the SBUS signals? so you could just tap a BEC into the bus at any point.

Yes, your right. Only reason i mention this is because OS MAX is finally starting make larger Brush-less motors for hells. Also i don't get why the current ESC makers like Kontronic and CC aren't doing this. They could easily encode BEC voltage and the RPM of the Brush-less and broadcast on the sbus. Unless it requires some special adapter to do use SBUS2 vs SBUS. I know when SBUS came out all the Fbls manufactures where able to do a software upgrade to support SBUS receivers.

That would be cool !

I found in the Arduino.cc forum that some people found the librarie for Futaba Sbus, I bet the Sbus2 couls also be found and easily adapted. But I think Sbus signal is only one direction so we might need an second wire for the sensor signal.

It seams that Gravity is worst around here !

Jeti has telemetry like this. Hopefully Futaba and others will soon follow suite.

This is just a guess but, but if they use only 1 wire for RX/TX. Then it must some kind of time slicing scheme.
I found in the Arduino.cc forum that some people found the librarie for Futaba Sbus,
Can you provide a link

Single-wire bi-directional communication is nothing new.

Aren't sbus2 bidirectional? Data from the telemetry sensors go into Sbus2 hub, then into the 18mz receiver. All the sbus servos go on the same bus. So data has to flow both ways.

Yes S.Bus2 is bi-directional. Uses the same three-wire cable that standard S.Bus uses.

You actually have it!! Kontronik Jive ESCS with Jlog2/Jsend and the new Kosmik with the new TelMe Telemetry link.

Not the same they send the info back to a mobile device tru Bluetooth . This would send data back to your radio or your any other device in the sbus2 network. I.e rpm info to flbs unit and voltage info to your display. Then you can set an alarm on the radio.

Both devices I talked about send the telemetry data to the radio....
luixitoyo, Those are cool links. Thanks for sharing. I haven't check on Jlog in a while. Good to know it's still being developed and enhanced and is now sbus capable.

Here you can see my helijive with jlog2/jsend and the 14SG

Now waiting for Futaba to allow changing sensor name like the 18´s.
3 Altitude shows U_batteryx10 and 3 Vario shows U_bec

All the Jive parameters could be read on the radio: Battery voltage and current, BEC voltage and current, BEC temperature, PWM temperature, Gas_out, PWM_out, rpm, external sensors.... It is also possible to program alarms on the radio.

2-3 months ago I tried to find where to buy one and could not.
It must be me.

Also is working with CC...

http://www.mhm-modellbau.de/jlog.php

Thomas from Jlog is involved in a new Jlog3 that no longer makes neccesary to use the Jsend. Jlog3 will include Jsend.

I'm happy something like this exists. That is great. Now if sone can make a DogTag sensor for testing if you are bonded to to the right model.

I have finished the design of a fully configurable SBUS / SBUS2 / PWM(legacy) Model Memory Verification Unit (dogtag) that monitors any SBUS or PWM channel for a specific sub-trim value at power-up. This way you can use any high available SBUS logic channel for the purpose.
As a plus, the two digital outputs on SBUS is available as switch outputs for lights or other purposes. I might consider a small production/DIY kit if any interest. Parts price <20$
