Been talked about before but I sure am irritated with Paypal. My account is about to exceed it's spending limit. Now mind you that limit is $5000 that is over, I do not know, how many years of small transactions. I am now told that I need to verify my account to protect myself, AFTER $5000, REALLY!! The only way to verify my account is to either link them to my bank account (like HE**) or get their 19% credit card. Contacted customer service and that is the way it is. Now you can do Google searches and you can find THEIR instructions from times past where you did not have to do that.

I only purchase through the account and have never had any issue of any sort. All they want is to get into my bank account to make sure they get their money(prevents you from challenging a purchase on your card when they can get into your account), same with their credit card.

All I can do at the moment is close my account and cut up my credit card. Maybe for fun I will have my attorney write a demand letter just to get my small pound of flesh. I have an attorney on retainer, my wife and so far that retainer fee is heck of a lot higher than if I had just hired one

Pay pal. NEVER use it. Reminds me to much of Walmart, trailer parks and other white trash.

open a bank account in a different bank from your primary bank, don't keep too much money in it (hobby money only) and link that to paypal. really limits your monitory exposure.

Do you hate white people? If so, why do you think it's OK to state that on a public forum?

Never had an issue with PayPal myself. Became a verified premier member to lift all limits and recently just got the PayPal Here app and phone attachment so that I can take credit cards if I sell something. In particular I figured it could be useful at fun fly events.

I never had an issue with PP but I did link it to an account with just a couple of bucks in it and I can fund from my CC. If I want to buy something I just transfer money to the account. I don't actually use PP that often though.

The safest way is to have a separate account that you can put money into when you want to buy something. Otherwise, dump'em.

Unless there's no other choice, I stay away.

Paypal has never been a issue for me. They of late are putting more protections in place for both buyer and sellers, which I think is great.. Too many scammers.

I have been with paypal since there birth and never had any problems with them. The have saved my butt a couple of times. If they did not come to my aid I would have lost a lot of money. Thanks Paypal

Been good with them so far since '09. I hear some of the horror stories, but they are few and far between. Maybe closing the current account, waiting a while and opening a new one would fix the issue.

I've been with PayPal since it's inception, too. Never a bit of trouble. I use it to receive and give quite often. If a website offers PayPal as a payment option, I use it.

I have my regular savings account linked to Paypal and their debit card is so handy I closed my checking account in favor of their cheaper card.....I actually get cash back on Paypal instead of paying for checking.

Spent over $50,000 with Paypal last year...Pay all my bills and make all my payments with Paypal.

Paypal works for me. Like one poster said, open up another account and link it. If you don't want to do that then maybe people won't want to do business with you if you are afraid to back your sale.

Well if you don't use pp your pretty much limited on buying anything from here as what I've seen.
I know I won't sell or buy if I don't use pp
Never had an issue hopefully never will

I know Home Depot is set up now if you don't have your wallet no problem enter in your phone number and password and purchase that way...I'm sure you will see more of this from retailers.

I am another who has been with PayPal since day one. Only one issue and it was my fault (no insurance or proof of delivery on item I shipped). Use them for a variety of purchases.

I have PP linked to my back account, just a debit account I use once in a while if I have some money to spend. I go put few bucks in it and use my PayPal. Only bank acct I have. And have 0 Credit, or Cards. And don't want any.
