I crashed at the Reno funfly in June. It wasnt bad, until the clutch blew up and took the frames out. It sat (parts on the bench to) until i sold it cheap. If you want reasons:
-the guys i flew with slowly went each others way
-The formation of an actual ama club sucked the fun out of it.
-I grew tired of working on them.
-I grew tired of having to mail order everything. (I can get it, the favorite saying of the local hobby stores. all 2 of them who stock crap)
-I grew tired of the expense. Why does a heli 91 cost 3-4 times the price of a plane 91 that comes with a silencer?
-mostly, after 7 years of flying, i have peaked. I'm not going to be a super pilot just the average joe. Standing in the sun or freezing cold flying just doesn't do it for me anymore.
I still lurk here, and post crap, make rude comments just to pass the time in "solitary" at work. Its like prison only i get paid.
I'll take your bet on getting another heli. Unless its a full size that i swipe from the local airport, it just wont ever happen.
