I was just out flying and what I think was a hawk flew out of nowhere towards my mcpx and at the last second it aborted its attack. Kind of funny but glad I didn't loose it.

That would have been a challenge to try and out maneuver the Hawk.

happened to me last summer...I think they see it as a big juicy dragonfly.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Birds always get cocky around here for some reason. On more than one occasion I have had to stop my flying routine to chase them off with the heli. That seems to deter them for the rest of that day anyway. If they ever do get brave enough to actually crash my helis I have a Benjamin Marauder .25 cal PCP air rifle that will reduce the population to near extinction.

My problem is always the lil d-bag tweety birds that could just do enough damage to crash my heli and make me angry.

If the large hawk or whatever he is would actually swoop down and snatch the life out of my MCPX that would be a cool enough story to carry on about my day like this . If he destroyed anything larger than my MCPX I would have to lay the smackdown on his candy well you know.

I think it would have been pretty good story if if would have actually grabbed if and took off with it. I also wonder how much damage the blade of my mcpx could do to a hawk? Could probably kill it if it hit him in the head.

the swallows seem to act as if they are just curious or formation flying i don't think a mcpx would actually hit hard enough to kill a larger bird might injure them though have had crows come after my 3d foamy whe buzzing the tree tops must have nests nearby . when that happened i just got out a stryker and had fun buzzing the tree tops at close to 70-80 mph they just stayed in the tree then

wife says if i'm going to be an addict at least its to a heli

One of the guys in our club used to fly a 450 with a canopy that looked like an eagle. It used to be funny as hell watching all the smaller birds try and chase it away.

I think after a few close calls, he retired that canopy and went back to a stock canopy - after that, the attacks stopped.

Funny as anything.....

If it ain't broke, go fly some more!

The swallows in the afternoon chase my mCPX's all around the yard back and forth. Funny thing is I don't see them until I put it in the air and the birds come out of the woodwork. They disappear when I bring out the Logo 500SE though.
