I went all electric at one point but just like you, I got drawn back. I'll always keep both now. I can't say the NX4 is for you or not, I never flew one.

As far as one getting second burner, that's not much an issue with the Nitro. If the electric sits, you end up not getting as much use of the bats as they "age" even when not in use. But, after the initial love afair, you'll probably fly both. A lot of guys do.

being outside for 4 hours at 20 degrees, and flying my 12s with cold packs, the performance is lacking. out of 2 flights one pack puffed.
Today's high is 74 here... I don't have issues with flying in cold , just issues with flying in 100 degree weather...

Ya I'm trying to decide if I want this, or hobby king has a nitro 1/8 car for 150 bucks... If its descent quality that may satisfy my nitro urge without making the logo jealous

Why not both?
I got into helis long before electric was practicle.
Both have their pros and cons which have been beat to death repeatedly on RR.

A gallon of fuel, a pump, a starter w/batteries and a glow plug battery about equal the price of a decent LiPo charger.
It all works out.

I personally have never been able to afford everything up front.
If I knew what I was going to get I started collecting pieces likes servos, gyros, engine etc prior to purchasing the heli kit. It usually took me a few months to accumulate everything but I got what I wanted.

must go faster, must go faster.........

So I think I'm going to get the nx4, I was thinking of using align servos and trying the ikon out. Are most people using a direct 2s life pack for power?

I just seems ironic that the 30 size market started back in the 80's with the Shuttles and Concepts. Those machines got progessively larger and eventually morphed into the 50 sizes heli and the 50 size engines that we have now are based on the dimensions of the original OS 28/32's.
Now we are going back to what looks like about the original size of the Shuttle.

It's come full circle. It will be interesting to see if any other company jumps on the bandwagon.

must go faster, must go faster.........

NX4
We have three at out field, 2 with Ikon and 1 with a V-Bar, the one with the V-Bar having trouble with it, nothing against V-Bar just stating what happing on his helicopter, I think it's his set up, the 2 with the Ikon flys great, you will like it and they fly great, the OS37 a good engine and you don't haft to do a lot of tuning on it, just me 2 cents worth. Ok so it turns out I'm gonna get around 900 back, I was looking for something that I didn't need to spend money on, so I'm looking at 3 options

1 spend some money and get the nx4 with my logo, which is my least favorite cause I'm a fan on having just 1 Heli plus didn't want to spend anything

2 sell the logo and get the nx4, which I do love the way the logo flies but just been bored with electric cause I miss having a engine

3 keep my logo and get a 40 size plank 3d profile with the new evolution 10cc gasser engine... What do y'all think? I can't decide

Then don't. Pretty simple solution.
which I do love the way the logo flies but just been bored with electric cause I miss having a engine
See above.

Well, if you don't want to spend anything, see above.
