Hi All. I have an unexpected upgrade opportunity for my 700N. My OS91 unexpectedly failed. the leading contenders are the 120SR and the 105HZ. I read good and bad on both, but more bad on the 120SR???

Do you guys have any genuine practical comments on running either of these on the 700?

- is either one more suitable?
- Clutch issues with more power, especially 120?
- Gear ratios, which is best?
- actual power experienced between the two?
- Flight times on a tank?

Also, what the additional fuel use by the either? Anyone able to put a "uses x% more fuel to fly over the 91" figure on it?

Power is important as its suits my flying style. But reliability and ease of use are probably more important.
thx.

I will not fly anything that requires 30% nitro. So I am running my stock 700 FBL with an Align 90 on 15% castor/synthetic blend. It runs great and I think I adjusted the needle once all season. While others seem to be tearing their hair out with multi needle carbs, pumps, and pressure sensitive fuel systems. Why give the electric guys one more thing to laugh at us about? Keep it simple and have fun.

Both the 105 and the 120 work well in the 700N.

I am currently running both.

The 105 is easier to tune, and uses a lot less fuel.

Power is on par, and running both machines at 8:1 on helical gears.

thanks. I have been running my 91 on 20% forever. it fine, has comparable power to 30% and saves a third of fuel costs.
I think I have decided on the 105 for tuning reasons. The next one is to get the HZ-R or just the HZ. Opinions?

I have the HZ-R 1.05 running on 30% fuel. Very smooth and lots of power. I am running the new Align gear ratio.

I've had YS pumped engines before, and they also have run very well.

I have the HZ-R 1.05 running on 5% fuel and MP5.
I use to have 12 min flight, but today I put on a Header Tank to empty the main Tank completely, and that gave me impressive 20 min flight time.
1750 rpm.
