I would like to help you but I am not sure how. Have not had any issues you are describing although I am using the stock motor but as I mentioned not the stock speed controller. Only thing I could suggest is to verify that all of your solder connections are good and that you are not dropping a phase on the motor. Make sure the mounting screws are not shorting on the windings, just the basic things to look over.

I have read on several threads where the stock esc doesn't play well with some rx/tx systems. Not sure how to solve that one.On my Forza's I'm running the Talon 35 and Edge 50 lite, both fit well but the Talon has the bigger bec(5c/7a max). The Talon also only weighs 27g and is super compact!I'd rather be flying!

Just a note, the Talon might be on the marginal side with the stock motor. If you upgrade to the Scorpion motor then definitely on the limited side.

I had looked at the Talon but with my Rave 450 experience went with the CC Edge Lite 50

Running it with a scorpion 1580kv motor now no problem.Im sure there are spikes that near 35a but the Talon is rated 35a for the life of a 4000 battery during testing and mine barely gets warm.I'd rather be flying!

You are running 4S I presume. If so that makes sense as the higher voltage would allow for lower current given the same wattage

A 3S (stock setup) is what I was referring to

I run 4s and 6s battery's no problem but the motors are made for 6s so don't draw much power on 4s.4s gives me 2000 hs and 6s gives 3400hs.I'd rather be flying!

Right, as I expected. Don S. though was referring to a stock setup with the stock motor of which you are using neither

Some on HF also had problems with the Jr esc and governor, they turned off the governor and ran it like that.I think the Jr esc works best with all Jr Tx/rx.Thats why I was suggesting alternative esc's,but he could contact Jr and see if they would send another to try?I'd rather be flying!

Flew it 5 times over the past 2 days with no issues. I'm running a Futaba Sbus setup with a CGY750, ungoverned.

Still no issues. I have taken a pack out of rotation so I may throw it back in to see what happens.
