JR heli's are amazing, but just too expensive for me - and I now fly a Logo!!

My vibe 50 was great but the spares pricing was almost Rolls Royce level - £22 for a boom and £45 for a clutch, meant mine had to go.

But they do make nice heli's.

It's obviously going to be more expensive than a trex 450 pro v3 and as it's basically the same why would anyone buy one?

Nothing wrong with competition. I love Align but everyone needs competition to keep them honest. Let hope the cost isn't too crazy. I wouldn't mind a quality non Align 450 for um comparative purposes

I could be wrong but I think with FBL, you can go to a fully rigid head without problem. There's still flex/dampening in the blades and the FBL unit provides all the stability. I agree though, DFC is not a feature I'm fond of.

You cannot compare JR to Align, at least the old JR stuff that I'm familiar with. Japanese quality does not compare to Align junk.

I'm extremely happy to see what looks like a helical main gear...hopefully the tail drive gears are also helical. That would make for a nice, quiet helicopter. Also liking the belt driven tail and dual supported pitch slider. Nice also to hear 350mm blades are a go. Looks nice. Hopefully it will accept the gold standard MKS Ds95 servos.

Wish there was better US support for JR products as that might help keep kit and parts cost a little lower.

Anyway, hope to hear more info soon!

I don't think it has tail gears...Does it?
Just a drive pulley on the main shaft...

I literally never use the word literally right.

Japanese quality can't be beaten but align isn't junk. Clones are junk!

JR and Align are great helis. If JR came out with as many helis Align does in a year, their quality would probably be the same. It seems JR does extensive testing before they release any product. That's why you never see any upgrades or revised parts on the shelves.

It would be a poor business to be in making aftermarket parts for unpopular helis! Hense all the aftermarket parts for align helis.

In the Video they are speaking about:

* 450 size helicopter for rotorblade size up to 350 mm
* Recommended for 3S to 6S
* The super combo includes the mini Tags 01
* The new mini flybarless system has an integrated receiver

Very true comment indeed. But if I had to choose between owning A popular heli that requires upgrades to fly great and a unpopular heli that flys outstanding out of the box, I would have to choose the second option.

I'm not bashing Align in any way. Ive owned 4 Aligns and currently own the Trex 450 Pro V2 DFC. It did take a little upgrading to get it perfect, like upgrading the stock non-thrust bearing tail grips.

My Aurora on the other hand is completely stock and it flies amazing!

Sure there's lots of 450s but one of good quality would be nice. If this will run 1200-1400mah 6s I'd like to give it a shot as have the other gear on hand. Mind you this will probably not be out till late summer and probably not even sold in North America anyhow. :/

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
