Im not really trying to crash it but I will line it with tape just in case. I know I will crash it though because this heli represents the same to me as the MCPX no fear in crash costs.

It is suppose to be very windy today but I thought I would get up early and sneak a few flights in. No such luck I look out my front door and the trees are already swaying.

Tom C you are not the only one that said it has power like the 130x I have a 130X and have to agree. I even think it has enough power for people with very poor collective management. I also need to take my bullet blades off and crank up my rates.

wrongler, Get ready for a treat.

Does anyone know if the swashplates are the same on the MCPX and the MCPX BL?? I have a microheli swash thats going on the BL if thats the case. As a matter of fact I am going to cross refrence part numbers now.

Here is some side by side older V1 vs New BL
I used the older canopy because the new one is not very durable like the older ones (IMO) and destroyed on first crash.

You might think there nearly look the same as V1,V2 but they diff a lot as what I can see.

Obviously both BL Motors and 3n1
Blade grips
Swash
Frames
Skids
Tail boom and tail blades
Main blades

Now what looks the same

Gear
Servos
Main shaft

Guys, you need to stop posting such positive, glowing reviews of this thing. It's going to get me in trouble, if you know what I mean.

I'm calling a couple LHSs today to see if they have any...

John, I know what you mean! My LHS has several of them and it's killing me. Especially since the original mcpx is so cheap now.

I flew it outside in this crazy wind were having here today.

This wind caused me to have an oh crap moment. I have trained my lightning quick reflexes to enter throttle hold with the quickness. Im screaming NOOOOOOOO as it flies foutry feet past me and slams into my gravel driveway. I have never had a crash this crazy with any of my micros. I was cussing the world under my breath on my walk of shame to pick up my brand new broken MCPX BL.

Are you kidding me I looked it over twice and foud no damage not even a broke or popped off link. I spooled it back up and it flew just as smooth as before the crash. I was amazed. I think this heli is going to be as crash worthy as its brushed brother SWEEET!!!!

Issues may surface later but as of right now Im glad to be the beta tester on this lil beast.

I found a para board. It will wrk for my 130X also.

I am jealous of all of those batteries.

If I had that many batteries I would wear something out in a months time not from crashes from flight time.

Had a small glitch today. My stock battery charger is faulty. When you put a nice balanced pack on it immediately goes into balancing mode (red/green flashing). I tested the voltages after a few minutes and one cell was 4.05v and the other was 4.28v. Stuffed the stock battery pack but I managed to balance the other pack ok. Now using my spare 130x charger and it works fine.

My Blade dealer (ModelFlight) is sending me a replacement charger and flight pack.

Cheers,
TomC

My MCPx BL seems a lot harder to fly than my MCPx
My MCPx BL seems a lot harder to fly than my MCPx. The BL seems to be very slippery. I'm just a basic flyer (sport flying) but I control the old MCPx pretty well. If I level it it will just sit there in the air. This one seems to want to slip off in one (any) direction very quickly for some reason.

Helder,
That's exactly one of the characteristics my mCP X v2 had out of the box. It turned out to be a bad servo. Check them out very carefully.

Has anyone looked at the pinion gear to see how many teeth it has and if there is any possibility to go down a tooth?

Thanks,
John

John, it's an 8t pinion so I do not think you can go smaller.

TomC, the Eflight charger that came with my 300X was also usless at balancing the packs! Charge off a decent charger and your packs will last much longer.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Richard, you should have sent it back to HH (or your dealer) imho mate. The good ones balance these 2s packs very well (+/- 0.005v). I check mine quite often with a Hyperion EOS Sentry (with 2.5 to 2.0mm adapter cable).

I got a replacement charger and stock battery pack today (overnight service, not too bad eh). Tried it out and the pack balanced to +/- 0.003v.

I agree with you that you are still best to use a good quality charger/balance with the appropriate leads. You can also charge them a lot faster with these.

My problem is that my Hyperion 1420i chargers are usually too busy charging/balancing my big e-heli packs.

I hate to admit it but I even wire my crapy Eflite stock 3s chargers into my 15v power supplies and use them to charge my 3s1300-2200 300x and 450s packs, lol! I have had one of these fail as well. Did the same balancing-forever light flashing thing.

Cheers,
TomC
