xt60 connectors on a logo 600 (10s)
i was wondering if it is OK to use xt60 connectors on a logo 600 10s.

the idea is to use xt60 on each 5s battery and connect both to an Y connector. finally, the Y connector would go on the ESC. the Y and ESC would be connected with an EC5.

as far as i know, each battery will provide half the current. considering that my ESC is 120a maximum and xt60 is 60a, two xt60 would be up to the task.

what do you guys think?

thanks.

I don't see any reason why that will not work, I use the same set up but use EC5 connectors.

do you agree each battery will provide only half the current and so it will not exceed the max current each xt60 can handle?

i'm not sure this is the right way to think on this subject.

thanks.

Your Y will carry full power to the ESC so the question is what is that final connector from the Y to the ESC and will it carry the amps required to meet the needs of the power train? Now you know why I use EC5's. If the Y is directly connected to the ESC (no connector) then the question becomes: will each connector carry the power from each pak and I think that the 60 connector is rated high enough.

Each battery will supply the full current and half the voltage if you have the packs in series.

If you have the packs in parallel then each battery will supply half the current.

If your helicopter needs over 60 amps then the connecters will be too small

My set up eliminates the EC5. From the ESC right to the XT60's. Just eliminates on failure point of the EC5.Bill Whittaker

it is an EC5.

yes, the packs are in series. ops, it seems my estimation is totally wrong! man, i hate the ec5 plugs!

what heli is yours? so you have multiple plugs on the esc? could you post a picture?

thanks.

This is how I set it up with one less fail point.
