I was out of the hobby for 3 years and now I coming back, mainly with some electric Helis, I have a raptor 90 SE that I never flew, is almost ready I just need to make a final check and Imwill fly it this summer, I would like to know if you still can get spares for this heli ? or is better to buy another kit and use the main partes, engine etc.

Still an amazing machine. Wouldn't hesitate a second to fly it.

i just bought a pre-loved raptor 90se too. even though I already have two 90 birds, there's just Something abt the raptor that makes me want this piece of machine so very much. I love every moment of ownership.

i myself have been out of the hobby for 2 or 3 years. I dug out my 90SE this morning and have started checks. Shes a bit rusty and covered in cob webs from being out in the garage. Im going to do the following...

buy another SS screw kit
remove 95% of critical screws:chase holes with tap and blow out old loctite and replace with new screws and fresh loctite.

remove engine and clean. inspect and clean carburator thouroghly
replace glow plugs(viper head)

replace with new battery

lubricate all bearings with Q-tip and light machine oil

replace all fuel lines

inspect all wires and tie rod ends

check settings and measurements

final step...fly the piss out of it. my rappy had probably 50 gallons ran through it back few years ago then i rebuilt engine but left old fuel residue in it. I imagine my crank is probably rusty so I will remove and clean before ever firing it up with gummed up bearings.
only way ill ever make the jack is if i work at a cheese factory

I don't think you'll find any surprises. These things are very well designed and hold up so well!

had 2 of them but one left in the agusta 109. thinking of going back to pod & boom. Wish I didn't trade the other one. really miss that thing alot. Person I traded with don't even fly it, just a shelf queen. bummers, that was my daily flyer.

there one of the smoothest birds around.
Heads up, it's my turn to crash & burn , NOT EVEN

Go get it back. You might get it back for less than you sold it. That's a new concept. Make money by buying back stuff you already sold. Then you can sell it again when you're done with it again!
