I'm curious what ratio of gas to oil you are running on you Zenoah engines. I have heard anywhere from 50:1 to 25:1

thanks

Depends..
It depends on the oil you are using.. I used Amsoil Sabre at 100:1 and it worked great... but that is synthetic oil..
If using the regular ashless oil (like for you weed wacker) 32:1 is common...
Do not try to break a new engine in on the synthetic.. it will take forever!!! Run a couple of gallons of the ashless type first, and then switch...

Good Luck, Stan

I want to run some Klotz Techniplate Synthetic. It is saying on the container that 50:1 is fine, but I know that can vary with the engine.

Belray H1R .. 4oz. per gallon. Do Not Use Coleman Fuel!! EVER !! I have been flying these engines for over 15 years in all climates Hot and Cold without an issues. Tune your engine properly and just fly! From Simple minds come simple ideas! Approach Engineering

I've used Honda HP-1 synthetic in ALL my 2 stroke gas engines for 15 yeras with no problems.I had run 2.5 oz per gallon for years but recently stepped it up to 3oz. to a gallon for a little extra lube and cooling. Great oil and easy to find and buy.

According to Zenoah engine manual use... 25/1 or 32/1 for break in then 42/1 full synthetic..

Question For Dr Tim
Hi Doc!!!Why do you say not to run Coleman??? I ran it for about 5-6 years without having any problems and used the Amsoil Sabre at 100:1... engines looked as clean as the day I bought them.. just like to know what your experience was to make you say NEVER??

Did not mean to hijack this post, just thought this might also apply here...

Thanks, Stan
