MCPx Rakon mainframe problem
I have a problem with the RKH frame. Whereas the stock frame has a cage to hold the motor vertically, the RKH frame does not. When I first mounted the motor in the frame, and tightened the screws all the way, not enough to strip them of course, the motor was canted and was not vertical in port-starboard/left-right. I took the screws out again and put them back and tightened them paying attention to the whether the motor was now vertical and, at least as far as I could eyeball it, it was. Now the motor is still not in just the right place. The brass pinion on the motor seems to be too tight against the main gear. When I try to fly it, I do not get enough lift to take it off the ground. I called a Rakon dealer and he suggested loosening one of the screws pushing on the motor shaft away from the main gear, tightening it, then loosening the other screw, push again and tighten. Still same problem. Took out both screws and tried several times to adjust the placement of the motor to get it to mesh better. Still no luck. I am also noticing that some white plastic shavings are around the top of the main gear, so, as a poster on another forum mentioned, I am chewing up the main gear, I assume that I am not the only one with this problem with alignment. Anyone else experience this? Anyone got a fix for it? Just to save questions, I did try it with several different fully charged batteries with no different result. I am about ready to go back to the stock mainframe and throw the RKH away, but before I do that, I thought I would post and see if someone has a solution. Thanks guys (or gals).

motor alignment problems with RKH frame
Post-script. Took it apart, tried to adjust it and put it back together maybe ten times. Same thing. Gave up and put everything back on the stock frame. Same thing. From what someone told me, when it was not meshing and too tight against the main gear, I fried the motor. Replaced the motor in the stock frame and it is working fine. Don't want to try the Rakon frame again yet, but still wishing to hear from others who had the same problem and how they fixed it.

RKH response
Rakon emailed me and suggested that I use the two holes to the right and left of the hole for the motor's pinion on the bottom plate rather than the ones fore and aft. I post their picture for anyone else having problems that I experienced:
