STORE MOVING
It’s time too move on, after 26 years I am closing my storefront & want to thanks all those for your support. We are moving our business too my 40 acre farm, that is located in the wonderful country side located in Quakertown Pa. Jon who many of you know will continue with the business, I have turned over too him the business as I want to fly travel & play for now.
Retail hobby shops are a think of the past as it is just too easy to click & order. Between rent, taxes, insurance, advertising & other biz expenses it is impossible to cover the cost of being in business, let alone
show that dirty word “profit”.
We have many facilities on site to continue with our current business model. There will continue to support our machines with kits, accessories & parts. Additionally we will have open flying as well as beginner school focusing on build, set-up, hover, FFF & basic aerobatics. The choice of nitro, EP & gasser helicopters will be available to train on. The basic ability to hover is a pre-requisite to attend. We will consider offering housing on the property for those staying for the flight school for 3-5 day classes.

http://www.quickworldwiwde.com has flight school information.

Plus the government jerking you around with all their rules.
.
But you sure are right, click and ship is just to easy, and with 2 or 3 day deliveries it is just too convenient. Used to be technical help was only available at the store, but now with RR, you can get volumes of help.
There is a hobby shop here in Orlando that is great with plenty of help and parts here in Orlando, but even I get lazy and just 'click and ship' most of the time.
Sorry to here your closing your 'brick & mortar' store front, but it will be a lot easier on you doing internet sales.
I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

TIME NEVER STOPS
Mark I have had the pleasure of knowing you when I we first go hooked on RC helicopters, like you.....After 26 years I am hardly done just a new phase of life. There will always be the NEXT advancement of technology, being developed by someone, somewhere & we are not sleeping...just delayed with this move. Actually I should have done this many years ago, however there is no "PROFIT" in hobby retail any longer. Besides right outside our new facilities there are morning & afternoon flying sites on my farm with the sun at your back....
We will focus more on teaching newbies the full Monty of building, basic flying, mechanics, set-up & maintenance. We will offer a 3 & 5 days
coarse with 100% hands on learning experience. We will offer from small nitro to 90 class machines for first flights too Gassers as well as complete electric machines from 6s to 12s....all build & RTF.

Irwin,

I have been out of touch for a while, but just was through Coopersburg the other week and took notice to your store front. I wish the best to you with things and maybe sometime I could take you out to one of the local fields for some flying. Also good luck with the new knee, my dad just had one done this month and it was the best thing he has ever done.

sounds great
I would consider that however it is impossible to pay rent or mortgage,
taxes, insurances, water & sewer to start the list off. On my property here we can fly with the sun to our backs all day long. Additional I have
5-6000 sq foot or more to store, build with fully stocked heli/airplane retail shop. So far the customers that have come to the new location are very please with the complete facilities.
If all goes as hoped, next winter Nov-march in Florida....I call it semi retirement...lol
