Ballistic 635
Hi guys,

Could someone tell me what's the weight of the Ballistic 635 ?
Will a scorpion 4035-560 suit the 635 properly ?

I'm actually flying a Rave ENV, I'm coming from F3C, now flying only 3D on music and have to say the Env is close to perfect !

Thanks for your help guys.

A lot of guys are flying te 4035 560 and having great success with them and that is what I am going to put in mine.

Thanks Marshall, any idea of the weight of your machine ?
I'm thinking of switching from the ENV to Ballistic 635 and maybe using Canopies from my ENV

Sorry, I do not know the weight. I really don't have a good way to weigh it.

I will try and find a way to weigh it for you. I will say though, that the power to weight ratio using the 4035-560 motor it flies nicely with no problem whatsoever. Plenty of power. Using the Spyder 4000 12s packs.

I weighed the 635 with the blades and Spyder 4000 pack installed RTF but without the canopy. It's close to 9 lbs. give or take a few ounces. That's about the best I can do without a digital scale.

I have about 5 flights on mine. With a Scorpion 4035-560, two 6S4000 packs, and a separate 2S2500 powering an Arizona regulator mine weighs 10 lbs 9.6 oz ready for takeoff.Dr.Don

Dr Don.
That seems really heavy. Can you post your setup and a couple pictures?

Here's the setup. I don't think pictures will add anything.

-Scorpion HKIII 4035-560
-ICE2 80HV with Quicklink connector
-Total G + 2 satellites
-9256 on tail
-9452's on cyclic
-2 add-on CY esc trays, one front and one back
-Arizona regulator
-Outrage 2S2500 receiver lipo
-2 Glacier 6S4000's at 630grams each (actually weighed)
-Radix 625 V2's
-Radix 95 tails

At 10 lbs 9.6 oz this is about a pound and a half less than my electric ENV, which runs 12 lbs 1 oz with 2 6S5300's and similar equipment.

Jeremy, I'm suspicious of the weighing accuracy of some of the weights I've seen people publish. My weighing was done on an electronic postage scale. We have another 635 at our field weighed on a different scale and its within 3 ounces of mine but using slightly smaller lipos (3600's).

By the way, the 4035-560 on 12S used to be in my ENV. It is plenty for the 635 and it flies great.Dr.Don

For a 600 it's heavy ....
I know the power is more than OK but when you descent **** on a tail slide or whatever gravity favour the lightest machine **** (wrong statement).... gravity will be more easy to fight for reaccelerating the model from one level of energy to another one but in the tail slide example, velocity will be the same for the same machine, whatever the weight is ;-) (Newton 2nd law, Thx Dr Don)

Thx for your inputs guys
