Thanks for coming
We thank all that did not give up due to the weather. I must admit on Friday as I sat in the truck in a downpoor for two and a half hours that morning, my hopes pretty much dwindled. There is a great deal of work that goes into this every year and the weather can send it all down the tube... more that you can imagine.

We had a good turn out and only about 4-5 preregistered pilots did not show up. Saturday and Sunday weather did make up for Friday. The water was just soaked up by the thirsty soil, leaving the dusty draught ridden grass etc. in a very acceptable condition in the end.

There will be more acknowledgements coming, but we appreciate everyone that came, ... our sponsors... vendors and everyone that made it a success.

We did end up with quite a few SRC shirts left over. If you know of anyone that wants one, please send me a pm and we can work out a deal to get one shipped via usps. I have a couple of mediums, quite a few of the L, XL, XXL, and XXXL. Send me a pm and I will make some deals.

Thanks again to everyone that came.

I did less flying this year than at any previous SRC, but I had the most enjoyable time. The event seemed more laid back than usual, which was great. Flying a Stingray while buddy boxing with Curtis Youngblood was an experience I'll never forget. I also made a few new friends, something that usually doesn't come easily.

As others have said, the weather was gorgeous on Saturday and Sunday. It was quite a contrast from past years' heat.

Thanks to Terry and Weldon for another job well done.

I have to thank everyone and I mean EVERYONE for such an awesome event. Terry, Weldon, the entire SRC crew, KDS, Curtis, Bobby Jacks, sponsored pilots, and all the sponsors.

The weather was amazing! It truly was one of the most relaxed and laid back events I have been to in a long time. The camaraderie and fellowship was a blast! Met a lot of great people and made some new friends.

I have to give a HUGE thanks also to Curtis for letting us buddy-box with him. That was really cool!

Cant wait till next year!

count
81 fully registered in attendance. Down about 25 or so from last year, due to weather on Friday I guess. They missed out.

Luckily it only got one of mine. Not a whole lot of damage, but some very strange damage.

Hi Guys

After a few days to rest, because I am always exhausted after this event, I personally wanted to thank everyone attending.

I also want to thank our sponsors for helping to continue to make our event a great one.

KDS Models USA, donated us a KDS AGILE 7.2 700 size helicopter http://www.kdsmodelsusa.com and it was a really nice one. Thanks again to Alan Womack

CY Enterprise also donated a Rave 635 and Curtis did some buddy boxing with anyone who wanted to try out his new sting ray. A really nice machine

Align Corporation donated to us a 450 size helicopter and some nice shirts and caps. Special Thanks to Jeff Fassbinder

Aerohobbies supports us every year and Andy did so again this year

Bobbyjacks hobbies has been a great supporter of our event and Bobby sponsored our amateur non sponsored demo contest.

Bavarian Demon
gave us a really nice flybarless system, thanks to Chad Stout

Skyhunter hobbies Donated us a nice canopy for one of our Scale contests

Ron Lund Heliproz south
donated to us some gift certificates and we very much appreciated that.

USS Steel Corporation Texas Divison donated some water to our event

KBDD donated some items

Big Tex Trailers also provided the use of their tent and they make excellent trailers sold nation wide.

The Espirit Gift Certificates came from Chad Stout, thanks Chad

Again Special Thanks to all of these great sponsors and the support they give us.

Who donated the Esprit Model gift certificates? Did Esprit do that, or was it some other benefactor?
